I have always fancied one of these - the Foo Fighter looks amazing. Anyone got one or ridden one?

They seem to be a 'love 'em or hate 'em' brand, I personally quite like them and have been down to the shop a few times for a natter and a coffee, the staff are all really friendly so if you're local-ish I'd recommend popping along (plus there's a great little tea shop next door).

Although they market their bikes as 'handmade custom', the majority of their frames are manufactured by Sarto to order (http://www.sartoantonio.com/en/bicycles) and painted by a local paint-shop, either in one of their stock colour schemes or as custom as you can afford.

Unfortunately I've not ridden one so can't comment on their performance, but Sarto produce frames for the pro-peloton which are often re-painted to wear the colours and badges of the teams sponsored ride, which must say something about their quality I guess.

Same as MadDad - I've not ridden one, so can't comment on the bikes. But they really are a good bunch in there, and they were a surprisingly reasonable price when I had an Ultegra shifter pack up on me. They did a good job of a road bike service for me too.

I've been close to buying a 'used' team bike from them a few times. Procrastination cost me the ex-Hannah Barnes 'Bog Warrior' MTB back when I could afford it. And the ladies MG Maxifuel bikes were up for sale too, at the end of their season. I'm a shorty so there'd have been one to fit me, but I chickened out after seeing some of the crash pictures from the Tour Series races. That, and the fact that the ex-team bikes are usually sold without wheels, so there's extra cost too.

They are WELL worth a look, though. It's in a lovely location just off the A31 Hog's Back road. Just make sure you visit when the tea room is open... wink

Been in a couple of times for a drool. They are right next to the one of the easier Hogs Back crossings so I usually pass them and the cafe at least once on my rides over towards Frensham/Hindhead.

They seem to create quite a bond with their customers. Club rides every Saturday or Sunday morning. You can spot them a mile off in their pink livery. Seem to be a range of abilities too as you pass them in small bunches.

Friend rides with them on weekends and thinks they're really friendly bunch. He's loving his new pink kit and drooling over their bikes. Well worth a stop and chat apparently.
