Should I report this?
Discussion
To be clear, I hate cycling nazi's that go around picking out everything on a video camera and posting it here there and everywhere. I have one on my handlebars purely for insurance or collision reasons.
I cycle 5 days a week to work, 10 mile journey each way. I don't really get many issues or certainly nothing more unusual that the average moron you get any day of the week.
Today however, on a priority bridge (my right of way), a car actually came over and clipped my right elbow. No damage really and feels a tad bruised but they didnt stop (neither did I).
First Question - I am assuming a cyclist on the road has as much right as a car on a priority bridge?
Second - Would you report this to 101 or am I just being trivial and should move on with my life...
Over to the dragons of Pistonheads. To be honest I am thinking the latter and put it down to experience.
Oh and we have pics.

I have nothing constructive to say, so should probably say nothing. However I can't help myself - before scrolling down I said to myself "I bet it's a 10 year old Audi".
The percentage of dangerous driving I witness, both on my bike and in my car, that is attributable to ~ 10 year old German car drivers, is seriously scary. I'd say at least 75%. No idea what it is about these cars that draws morons.
The ironic thing is that I say this as a ~ 10 year old German car driver (58 plate M3)!!

Hmmm maybe not... Apparently hampshire police won't do anything anyway. As you can't see the elbow clip in the video there is no evidence of collision.

So basically in Hampshire, do whatever you want :|

Is it September 2018 already? The percentage of dangerous driving I witness, both on my bike and in my car, that is attributable to ~ 10 year old German car drivers, is seriously scary. I'd say at least 75%. No idea what it is about these cars that draws morons.

It does look as keirik says, approach speed not withstanding, however even so the Audi is committed to the restricted width just before you enter it. Also, that gap although not ideal should be ample to get through without making contact - did something else happen?
Technically it is an injury accident that needs reporting within 24 hours by either party if you have a bruised elbow, howeevr proving your injury having not sought medical attention will be hard to prove, and the police will just file away any report on a piece of paper, which may be married up with another piece of paper form the other driver should they come forward, or left on it's own to fester a solo and single life.

Can't really tell much from the pictures, but I would say report it. It may go nowhere, but at the very least it will be another one on the stats to build the picture of incidents involving cars and cyclists. "Don't tell tails" is for primary school children and the abuse and hatred in any GG cycling thread shows the attitudes of some drivers.

So, ummm, how do you know they didn't stop AFTER the bridge, where the road had sufficient width for them to stop safely?JDiz said:
From your own pics, the car was well established on the bridge and going slower than you from the distances travelled.
Yup, that's what it looks like from here, too - perhaps the Audi should have seen the OP coming and not passed the GW line, but there surely can't be any argument that the OP entered the narrowed section when it wasn't clear. And how wide is your bicycle if you couldn't fit through that gap without hitting your elbow on his mirror? Might that have been deliberate to "make a point"...?
Is that a give way sigh that the Audi went through?
If yes they should have waited
The white car behind it would have been a witness, but I guess they are as bad as the Audi if it is a give way sign!
Actually I now see that you had right of way in the first picture, so they should have waited.
Can't believe those trying to blame you TBH

Clue: Nobody's said the OP didn't have priority. If yes they should have waited

How much room does a cyclist need??!
Also looks to me the A4 is on the bridge already and you are entering it.
Maybe if you moved over left a tad you wouldn't have a sore arm... lesson learned I hope.
Enough to know the person coming the other way isn't going to hit them. The OP was not at fault there, the Audi was. Also looks to me the A4 is on the bridge already and you are entering it.
