Would also love one but couldn't justify the outlay in return for the handful of days it would get used. One disadvantage of living in the deep south I suppose is being nowhere near any of the decent bike parks.
Same here...they ride so differently to my Enduro I'd spend the whole time getting used to it rather than enjoying the bike park...bobbo89 said:
They're hilarious fun, you think your enduro bike is capable but swing a leg over a proper downhill bike and it's another level. Proper planted, confidence inspiring sleds that you can't help getting a bit loose and being a hooligan on. I'd love another one in my life but I just wouldn't get the use out of it these days, no-one I know rides them anymore like we used to...
Can see your running clips, I ride clipped too but I think if I were back on a DH bike I'd want to be on flats and FiveTen's / Etnies... Depending on what you're riding you might find the same so maybe something to keep in mind or maybe just try at some point.
Thanks, few people say that to me.Can see your running clips, I ride clipped too but I think if I were back on a DH bike I'd want to be on flats and FiveTen's / Etnies... Depending on what you're riding you might find the same so maybe something to keep in mind or maybe just try at some point.
I ride both fwiw, I prefer clips at dyfi because of how chunky it can get but honestly swap between flats and clips all the time without even thinking about it.
Heck I even carry a spare pair of flats and shoes to places in case I want to change them for any reason

That's the way, both have their ups and downs and so you've got to decide what you want to run. I ride both fwiw, I prefer clips at dyfi because of how chunky it can get but honestly swap between flats and clips all the time without even thinking about it.

If I was riding say Pleney, I'd run clipped.
Champery, flats all day long!
Argon18 Dark Matter. This one is a SRAM Force 2x12 AXS bike with carbon fibre wheels and handlebar. Not mine, but a demo bike on loan for Battle On The Beach over the weekend. Sorry I'm in the picture too, but the weather wasn't pleasant so I didn't take "posed" photos of the bike on its own.
I took the demo bike back to the shop this afternoon, and my new SRAM Rival 2x12 bike was in the workstand getting built up. Delivered only 15 minutes earlier and fresh out of box. I plan to collect the bike on Thursday as I've got an electrician coming to my house tomorrow.

Local Spesh dealers must love you
100%. I bought the Sworks Enduro because i thought it looked enough like the Sworks Epic that my wife would never know that i had bought two bikes.
Unfortunately she’s more observant than i expected.
They did a good deal on a kids bike too. Such a cool little thing.

Following on from some comments on the “What bike bits have you bought” thread, this is my Yeti Arc.
Bought second hand from Pink Bike 12ish months ago; initally I thought I’d would have preferred one in the classic turquoise colour. However, price for this one (frame and forks) was good and the carbon really has grown on me.
It replaced a Santa Cruz Chameleon, also a great bike but this is perfect for me. I tend to get out 4-5 times per week, 60-90 minutes at a time, so it gets well used and is a little careworn as a result, but aren’t all the best bikes like that? Latest change was to SRAM AXS Eagle XX transmission, which is a massive gimmick and a total waste of money but I wouldn’t swap now!
Rare picture of it actually clean…
