Tried Rouvy the other day. Hated it, switched to Zwift ten minutes in. Gradient/effort felt miles off. Barely anyone in the game and only 1 second power display? Are the fking mad?!

All of the apps surely sync to Strava/TPGarmin? Basic stuff non?

Ignoring the fact I'll not be using an Apple device again after having my perfectly functional iPhone developed into obsolescence, I paid half the cost of an iPad 10.

Tower PC was 90, GPU 65 and a 650w power unit 40.
Which GPU did you go for? I've got a refurb Dell i5 I got for Zwift with the intention of adding a GPU but then saw the price of a low profile GTX 1650 - ouch! I'm currently using a i3 NUC and it sometimes struggles on a big group ride at 1080p.
A used Nvidia Geforce gtx 980ti. I'm not sure it'll physically fit, but it's a voyage of discovery. And I have a dremel. Holes mean cooling right?

I too built a specifically for Zwift.

Dell base unit7th gen i5 (£90), 8gb of ram I had in a drawer, used graphics card, Nvidia GeForce 1050ti (£70). Fitted a Crucial 1Tb ssd (£40?). I already had a monitor.

Works very well, runs Zwift in Ultra, no problem.

Some useful information on PC requirements here:

Bit of an own goal. Ebay image showed a full size tower case. It definitely isn't. Power supply and card are unlikely to fit! I'll connect everything and get proof of life and then worry about housing it.

Any users of mywhoosh?

Much smaller user base but never really used zwift for the social element.

I do enjoy the gamification / challenge side of things.

My whoosh any good?

It’s usually gets a mention everything someone starts a Zwift alternative thread, latest mention I recall was in this very thread back in December

Zwift's annual subs is starting to rack up. Anyone using MyWhoosh?
Considering it's £12.99 monthly and they've only just started to offer annual subs I thought £129.99 was decent value when all my other subs are skyrocketing.
I think I've been on it since lockdown, so that's how it's racking up. £129.99 is a good discount, but there are free apps that might do what I need, as a casual hour-a-day cardio fix.
I've been using MyWhoosh for a week, just to try it out. I can't see what Zwift offers for £12.99 that isn't in MyWhoosh for free as far as my needs are concerned.
Zwift has the advantage of not effectively being state-owned by a repressive dictatorship. If that sort of thing matters to you.

OK made the switch to Zwift this morning, a question I have is on the screen when it asks to connect your gear. Currently I have the following:

Wahoo tickr fit
Wahoo kickr rollr
Garmin power meter pedals

What should I be connecting for

Cadence
Power source

I ask because currently I have them both connected to my pedals, but I am not convinced this is best for ERG mode.

I’ve only ever used my Powermeter for cadence and power. Don’t trust the garbage they put in turbo units. Though things have likely improved in that regard.

That’ll be the correct way.
You could add another cadence sensor but I’d say the pedals do a great job of that, and you won’t see/feel any difference anyway.
I take it the rollers over resistance controlled by Zwift and you’ll use gears in normal riding and racing not ERG mode. In ERG mode you don’t really need to change gears.
What is it you’re not convinced of?

I'm only using it in workout so in theory (if I understand ERG mode correctly) I should be able to pedal at say 80 rpm for 250w output, but every time I tried that I'm over 300.

I'll test again in the morning on flatter terrain.

You do understand correctly!
Try an easier gear on your bike as maybe the rollers have a range of resistance you exceeded?
