Cheers for that, managed to order one last night. Wifey needs a new daily commuter ebike as her current Hyper 26" has been faultless for 2 years, but the ergonomics are so bad, so nice to have an upgrade.

Has anyone gone for a ..bike?

What's the legal protection if you chose the likes of PayPal finance and it turns up snapped/breaks in the next 12 months (over the period selected)?
I bought a Nukeproof Scout Elite from CRC earlier in their crisis that was a genuine £1,000 off - paid with a credit card. I'm enjoying the bike and figure that the risk of something going wrong and not being covered is more that compensated for by the massive saving I made. I simply would not have bought the bike at the full price of £2,400

True. I've never bought a 3k road bike in my life. 50% off. Well.

Mine was marked as shipped last night, arriving tomorrow apparently. They've taken it off the website now so hopefully you nabbed one of the last few and they honour it!

Looks like they won't go completely under and instead will get hoovered up by the sports direct empire, so they will still technically trading so legal requirements for warranty still should be fulfilled. Getting them to actually honour the warranty would be the hard part

End of an era for me. Twenty years of buying from them, but I won’t give Mike Ashley any money.

Why?

Crc/Wiggle drove alot of shops and smaller online competitors under, there was a time when they also sold unofficial grey market items which royally pissed off distributors.

Mike Ashley doesn't buy goody goody businesses and trash them. Their owners have already driven them to bankruptcy.

My son will want a part time job soon, I've no problem with him going to work in Sports Direct etc.

They weren’t the only ones selling OE parts cheap. When I worked in a bike shop, the manager was good friends with a bloke from Orange and we hoovered up lots of their excess components which were then sold cheap in the shop.

I bought some cheap Code brakes from Stif recently which were clearly OE, arriving in a bag, not a box.

CRC forks etc have been arriving in plain boxes for years.

Anyway-
Ordered a bike from CRC yesterday, despatched today. I'll see how prepped it is (best case scenario arrives just the wheel and pedals to fit) but without a workshop I doubt it'll have been PDI(?) etc.

Well, despite my earlier comment I have ordered a couple of TPU tubes from CRC.

Already dispatched….

Only a small amount of £ to be fair, I would not want to risk a large purchase at this point…..
Came through today so all good,…

Got a pair of Sidi 60 shoes.

Normally £360 for £160.

Given I am still wearing a pair of Sidi I bought in 2002, I will probably be buried wearing these.

Yet over on a cycling website people are literally going crazy buying up to sell on it appears frown

Has anyone who has put orders in got confirmation e-mails when their stuff has been dispatched?

Put an order in Monday night and other than the automatic order confirmation e-mail I've had nothing else...

Ordered Monday, parceforce (large items/48hrs service) states 'advised'.

No tracking beyond despatched (CRC)

And no movement on parcelforce.
