I ordered a Nukeproof Reactor 290 frame from Wiggle on Sunday, arrived yesterday and they'd sent a bare warranty frame with no rear shock, headset, seat collar or even a rear axle!

They're now being awkward pricks so I'm being equally awkward back, currently sat waiting for an e-mail from them but they're slow AF to respond and good luck getting to actually speak to someone.

That said, a hardtail frame is hard for them to get wrong so I'd just order it if i were you.
They sent it like that so you can easily return it for when it cracks.

Has it snapped yet?

Replacement frame due between 15:30 and 16:30 today.... Still to hear from them regarding the original one they sent which is sat boxed up waiting for collection.

What Nukeproof are you looking at exactly?

I've just ordered a Reactor 290 frame off them as it was too cheap not to. I think if the price is right it's worth the risk but sounds to me like what you're looking at is basically retail, that to me seems like a risk not worth taking especially with all the other options available at that price point.
2024 Nukeproof Megawatt 297 Elite Alloy, there are discounts on some of the 2022/23 bikes still left about, but the 24s are still full-price. I'm 'buying' it via R2W that addes more complexity.

Promising update from the administrators and some explanation of the separation of the brands. I hope Wiggle survive as i have been dealing with them since they were run out of the back of the old Butlers Cycles shop in Portsmouth.

Seems positive they're retaining all staff, although that'll change if Fraser Group buy it.

Sounds like it's the Investment Group screwing them, who'd have thunk it.

"Promising update from the administrators"

That's a silly comment. When do you think the administrators do anything but give themselves a large fee first.

Well it arrived about an hour ago, kinda happy things turned out the way they did with this now as the gloss black looks amazing against the few purple bits I've got. Quickly thrown together to see how it sits, sorry for the poor quality pic, dark out and garage lights...

Good to hear orders are arriving.

I’m very tempted by a Reactor frame to replace my Mega. They’re an absolute bargain at the moment.

Not quite the same scale, but I ordered a bunch of protein bars, electrolyte tabs and some clothing on Saturday evening for delivery to Switzerland and it all arrived this morning. Hopefully they are able to keep going, as they are the cheapest supplier I can find for the bars and tabs in particular.

Too cheap not to IMO, especially with the shock they come with, the black looks awesome in the flesh btw

I need a 275, so it’s the gold for me which I actually quite like, especially with my other bike being black.

Ah so the alloy one then? Yeah they're a silly bargain and I also like the colour, they call it turmeric yellow but like you say it looks more gold with the amount of fleck that's in it.

Reactor or a decent frame with warranty for LESS money.

https://www.bird.bike/product/aeris-am9-frameset/#...

We've got 2, one large (my sons) and my XL.

It's very stable ground or air biggrin

The need a 27.5 frame to swap my parts onto. The Aether 7 is about the same price so could be an option. Mate has the 9 and really rates it.

I ordered one of the frames that were half price on Wenesday. Just turned up today and all is fine. Now I have to sort out all the other bits!

Just had a browse on CRC, the deals don't look any more appealing than the usual black friday type ones they have had in previous years, anyone see any stand out deals that are worth taking the risk on at this point in time?

Just taken a punt in the Reactor frame as it’d dropped by £200 since I last checked.

It was too much of a bargain not to.

Paid with a credit card just in case.
