I gather Mike Ashley’s Frasers group has bought them.

There was a post on the Nukeproof owners fb group from the chap that ran the workshop saying that there were now 20+ talented mechanics looking for new jobs.

Such a shame. I’ve been using CRC for over 20 years, bought virtually all my mtb kit and several bikes from them.

Good point about the discounting that someone made earlier, I now can’t pay rrp for things - too used to crazy discounts, especially on the owned brand stuff like Nukeproof.

In the fire sale I’ve picked up some rediculous bargains: £190 spds for £60, and £170 shoes for £34!

Not sure I’m helping the situation by taking them up on stuff that must be going for less than cost.

So, given that the above link says 'minimal staff' still working and website still appearing to be taking orders, just how safe is it to order?
I'm only looking for a couple pair of MTB shorts..... definitely CC territory?

Use a CC and worst case you get a charge back.

I ordered an Edge 1040 from them. Next day the order was cancelled with no explanation. Customer services had no answer, just that my money would be returned in a few days and it was. Paid a few quid more and got it from Sigma Sports within two days.

CRC / Wiggle going under could have massive implications for the whole industry, they owe around £27 million to suppliers and if they end getting very little back they too could go under as a lot of them are relatively small companies.

Well, despite my earlier comment I have ordered a couple of TPU tubes from CRC.

Already dispatched….

Only a small amount of £ to be fair, I would not want to risk a large purchase at this point…..

I ordered a new pair of cycling shoes on Saturday. £100 off rrp so worth a punt. Arrived this morning. No email with dispatch details so I wasn’t expecting them until midweek. Fit perfectly so no need for a potential returns dilemma.

Decided that I could use the low prices to try some kit I'm normally too afraid of the pricing to try sizes of...
I've had a nice Ale top in 4XL which fits me well, £35 down from £115; and some Castelli bib shorts in 3XL, £70 down from £175... they're so nice I went back on the site today and hunted through more Castelli bibs, prices seem to have dropped even further, 3 more various pairs ordered tonight for £74 against full retail of £445 and at that price I don't care if they're not the best bibs ever!
