Sold my old Giant TCR (T-mobile) and picked this up a few weeks on eBay.

Swapped wheels, stem, bars, chainrings, cassette (past its best) and chain (also past its best).

It is a Specialized Tarmac (the version they bought out as the tribute to American Flyer).

I've had my Rose Uncle Jimbo '15 since December and forgot to show it off!

Snagged in the sale at 10% off as the 2016 bikes were already on sale. Only upgrade I made was the Reverb Stealth. This was taken before the first ride, and before I converted it to 1x10. It now has a few battle scars from a week in the south of Spain smile

Loving the raw aluminium finish on it.

Funky looking head tube cables junction . Cant see where the rear brake hose runs. Looks nice and clean cables and a nice bike.

Well I have this in my lounge at the moment...

It's not mine but if the demo ride tomorrow is good, then it may well be soon! The criteria for success is that it fits and that I smash every single KOM around the route biggrin

That looks great, shame it's not got an eccentric bottom bracket. How does it ride?

So far I've got to say, I love it.
I'm not sure how much of it is down to being a new bike and let's face it, new bikes always seem great for the first few rides!

I was a bit undecided about sizing but the medium fits perfectly. So far having used it on the road for a bit of commuting and taking it off-road around some local gentle trails I've really enjoyed riding it. It's the kind of bike that feels like you could happily ride it for hours on end. I can't really comment on handling yet as I've not really given it a chance to be taken on any off-road trails but hopefully I will this week some time. The current tyres aren't the greatest for anything remotely muddy but I've got some new tyres on order for off-road duties.

Overall I'm impressed but once I've got a few more miles in on it I'll update you again.

No, Eddie McGrath in Manchester.

Had a 35 mile ride on it today. It was hellishly windy so difficult to compare it to my Defy although one thing I established - the saddle is bloody uncomfortable! I was surprised though that I managed up a big hill so easily with the 36 chain ring. IF I get it, I may not need to change the 28-11 cassette to a 32-11 as I thought. Saying that, I haven't tried a 25% gradient on it yet...

My n+1 (Scott Addick R4) bike arrived last Saturday. Confirmed the order on Monday (from Slane Cycles) and had it cleared from the post office (in Dubai) after paying the import duty on Saturday. I paid a whisker over 1,000 GBP delivered.

At 7.8kg it is much lighter than my other bike (B'Twin Triban 3). I have ridden it 3 times so far and all is well with no issues getting used to the SRAM Rival system.

Need to loads of training as a group of us are planning on riding the 161 km summer solstice ride... and the Dubai 24hr event in October (if it happens).

New forks, seatpost, brakes, bars and grips and it's feeling really dialled. More so than any bike I've owned.

Picked this up in the sale as I wanted to have a go at more of the road stuff having been a die hard mountain biker. Seems pretty nice, quite fast and solid. Carbon forks look snazzy.

Great choice and it looks awesome! I'd definitely be after one if I could afford a second mtb.

Agree, lovely bike, really like Whyte mtb's.

One negative, not sure why there's internal cable routing and yet one is still on show?! Mine is exactly the same, internal routing for 2 cables, but not the 3rd.

It messes with my ocd. rolleyesmad

wink

Nice, its in a group test in MBR this month. It would be my choice for a hard tail in that ball park and its great Rock Shox finally have a beefier sub Pike fork as the Revelation just doesn't cut it once you've had Pikes.
