Liking the carbon rims on the Defy, tempted by some myself at some point- where did you source them from, Farsports?

Love nammynake's Canyon, same colour-way as my Roadlite only a much better spec bike, love the skinny seat stays smile

Bit the bullet recently and ordered some chinese carbon clinchers from eBay. Really impressed so far. They have transformed the bike!

Few more bits to sort like bar/stem as I can definitely get shorter/lower. I've also got a set of Force shifters and mechs to fit. Other than that, I love it!

Lord, have mercy on the rear mech

It's exactly as my Cytech buddies advised. Big/big with no mech plus two links. Jockey wheels are perpendicular on 50/11.

I always thought you set the chain length on the smallest cog on cassette and smallest chainring. Set it so it's just the right length that you still have tension in the rear mech. IYSWIM.

I think the point is that while that might be the correct way to size your chain it is no way to go about storing the bike!

Love this, looks awesome, Canyon are top of my list when I come to replace later this year or early next. Interested to hear how you are finding it?

Only one ride so far (50 ish miles) but initial impressions are great. Groupset, wheels, frame geometry and comfort, handling - all brilliant. Potential 135 mile audax this weekend should give it a good test.

Second one that has done this, in exactly the same place (bike belongs to a friend of mine).

I won't be buying a Canyon.

He, somewhat bravely, is waiting for his latest warranty frame to turn up.

Do you have a wider angle picture? What part of the frame is that?

Looks like the seat tube where the top tube meets the rear stays?

I've read similar reports on other forums. Seems to be the SLX frames this is mostly affecting and in particular those with the split VCLS 2 seatpost. I believe they're now shipping bikes with a beefier seatpost collar. Possibly fat knackers are putting too much strain on the frame, although that is no excuse.

here is one i finished a couple of days back.

20lbs cannondale scalpel carbon running 650b wheels, 1x10 transmission and a smattering of carbon and ultralight go-faster bits.
