The Cube is a nice looking bike and very easily enough of a road bike to get you hooked. Then n + 1 will surface....
I agree with Steve - you might want to adjust those bars unless a pro fitter did that. Unlikely though. Definitely worth a good bike shop having a look before you do too many miles. Enjoy.

A rather rubbish photo of my new Charge plug 3, it's a little on the heavy side, but very comfy, going by my first test ride.

Sorry frown I couldn't help myself. I may have to sell up soon. I really don't want to, but I'm really rather struggling financially, and I can't keep borrowing money from my parents...

can't remember if i posted this yet but any way

Built this fairly recently up, had the frame and linkage powder coated matt black, used a few bits off my old build MC Fury, like the forks and brakes, the rest is new or was new. She's a Giant Trance of 2008 vintage I am led to believe. Superb handling bike, comes in at a smidge over 13kgs on the Park Tools scale.

1998 Specialized FSR Ground Control Comp, my Ebay project bike. I thought I'd finished it yesterday (the photo is before), took it for a ride-the freehub is slipping 😠.

It's an American import, left hand drive! The brakes were reversed compared to a UK bike.

Flip the stem and lower the seat post. There doesnt look like there can be much seat post in the frame and I would be worried that might crack. If you flip the stem you should be able to get a similar riding position having lowered the post. Looking at set ups like this, 29ers do make sense!...

Went out yesterday, roads were ok but left a nice muddy "patina" on the frame. There will be tears when I have to replace this bike...

Yes since adjusted for my second longer ride. Still not sure on the position, have dropped them lower, any tips?

I loved my Sunday. These days it sits in the garage in bits looking sorry for itself with its bent seat stays.

Get an angle set on it and it'll be as good as any modern dh rig

Basically a headset that's offset slightly to slacken the head angle. 2 degrees worked nice

Aye, my old Sunday was a great bike. Think I had a 2 degree angleset in mine - rode really well. Never could get rid of the linkage play though.
Still, I'd have another one.
