It's an odd thing. 20" wheels, doesn't fold, not as sturdy as a BMX, but fine for pottering into town, taking on the train here and there and general pub duties. I'll probably fit some mudguards when I find some that will fit and that I like and maybe a rear rack.

Is that a Lefty? Must be completely unnecessary but adds so much the coolness!

Excellent. Valves both at the bottom, highest gear selected, pedals neither parallel nor perpendicular to the ground. Good photo, and a very nice bike too! It's a bit too 'clean', though wink No reflectors, no bell, no 'dork disc' and no saddle bag. Give us hypercritical PHers something to work with, here? rolleyes

I bought a Trek Emonda recently, but a couple of Giant's bikes were very much on the shortlist. Hope you enjoy! thumbup

He would get slaughtered on singletrackworld for not collecting the leaves, leaving washing on the line and the state of that path....

In my defence, I was concentrating on the bike. It is a lovely bike...

I was drooling over an Emonda SL today, first one I've seen in the flesh. Black with 50s. It was stunning.

Sorry about the spacers, still getting position sorted.

As for the leaves, far to many trees in the garden to collect them all, and it's not washing, it's a wind sock thing on the summer house, and the top cover of the swing seat!

As for the bike, it's great, both fast and comfortable in all it's aeroness (if that's a word), didn't purchase it because it was an aero bike, and all the marketing bs, I just happened to like it when it was launched.

I absolutely love this. I thought I wanted an aero bike next (Propel/Aeroad) but after seeing your Tarmac and a gourgeous Emonda at the weekend I'm in two minds!

What swayed you away from the aero Rob?

Just fancied a change, I asked about for what people had found were really stiff bikes, I know a lot of guys with the S works frame, they all said the same thing of it, that it was rock solid under load, I noticed the cervelo I had was a bit wobbly when sprinting up short hills in crits, or out of corners. And this year I think I'll do more crit racing than many road stuff.

The cervelo was an older model so the new one may be a lot more robust, but I found a good deal on the Tarmac and went for it. Have to say that its been very good so far, and certainly noticeably stiffer when I raced it on a technical crit circuit on Saturday. While I am a big advocate of aero, I think the frame of a bike is one of the smallest factors, a helmet will save you more watts over 25 miles than any aero frame I would think.

I'll add some new pics soon as I am trying to get a deal done on some Enve wheels, still not 100% decided between the 3.4 or the 6.7 but I think it would look pretty good with latter!
