Just ordered & paid for this with a 7 week delivery time.

I was going to wait but then i thought if i wait too long the summer will be over.

Ooh lovely.

You might get lucky with the build / delivery date. They quoted April 23rd when i ordered my Pro DX Cross in early March. It came 10 days early biggrin

Hi guys,

New to this forum, just thought I'd show off my new (very old) bike!
This is my first road bike, a hand-me-down, and I have no idea what frame it is. I'm new to the road world, but after my first ride I was well aware I needed some smaller gearing, so I've just ordered some shiny Tiagra compact cranks.

And seeing as I'm a mountain biker at heart here is my other steel ride!

Here's my latest purchase after upgrading from a secondhand Carrera Vengeance. It's no 4 figure + bike but it's like a different world to me at my skill/weight level.
It's a Rockrider 700S.

Just fitted some carbon clinchers from Superstar, the front has a buckle but the box was damaged so I'm assuming this is why. I planned to get them trued at the lbs anyway so decided not to bother sending them back to Superstar. Only done a couple rides but they seem ok, braking is silent and not grabby. Need to get the steerer cut down too.

They're 10 speed only, 46/66 rims. Not sure on weight, I didn't weigh them as I'm not bothered but certainly pretty light. I paid about £270 I think as they had a 30% discount code, think they're doing 20% off at the moment.

I take it you didn't venture onto the Black runs after that^^^ performance on the green XC route! (or should that be "root" as it's AH!) ;-)

I currently have what looks like 1.5 ankles, and I've just re-seated my little finger (feels a lot better now). No black routes after that! Think I need to go to bike school....

More importantly, the bike and tree were OK! biggrin

Seem to recall they're just down the road from you Don1, in Hatfield. (Been looking at their site to confirm but find their location)

Some more pictures of my Trek Domane 4.5 Disc. It's difficult to get decent pictures sometimes because of the matt finish. It will be getting some new pedals soon too.

I bought the Duotrap speed and cadence sensor that fits into the Trek frame. Much better than clamping sensors round the frame. At #40 for the sensor and #40 for the speedo it's not cheap.

Also bought this last year.

I upgraded the discs from 180/160 to 203/180mm

^^ So much want for that Domane. A lovely, clean looking bike.

How does it ride?

Working out if I can justify it as an n+1 to complement my Cannondale CAADX...
