Those wheels must weigh a ton. It looks like an absolute pig to ride, you'd be better with a DMR Rythm.

It wouldn't be that exact spec...I think I was going for 24" AtomLab Pimp Rims and smaller tyres.

With my experience of 'thin' frames, they haven't inspired much confidence. I had one frame, can't remember what not, which visibly flexed while riding street. I'd be doing street and dirt jumping.

Nick_F. Took the pics when the bike was brand new. Did half a season last year on it. But, as was bound to happen have slid down the mud and Eastways road/Cross circuit! Race Moutain Bikes and some road, but love this bike. Out today around Seveoaks looking for big hills. Weighs about 18 lbs. I have to say that I have connections in the bike trade so got very good trade prices on all parts, hence the Dura-ace and bling carbon parts!

Graham

PS. Youre supposed to carry the bike and run over these hurdles!

I too ride street and dirt on my small bike. DMRs are lovely. I'm 6'1 and 15 stone and still love my Trailstar (from the days when street and jump on an MTB was new). I wouldn't trust a skinny frame for full on DH but I love my DMR. Check out the Ryhthm, even if you don't like, just have a look.

I've heard good things about DMRs, I must admit. I think my problem was that I did street and trials and the back end was wobbling more on the trials stuff. I suppose for DJ and street they might be okay. I'll have to check them out. I think a friend of a friend has just bought one.

Saw this the other day and had to buy it.
Single Speed with a pedal-back brake. Retro cool and i love it.

I've also got a singlespeed merlin play bike but dont have any piccies. Will post some soon. Any other singlespeed die-hards on here? I'd never go back to having gears (but then i do live in Norfolk!)

You must be local to me, if you want hills around Sevenoaks check out my Grimpeur ride in March 100km and 1800m climbing starts at Otford.

The 20" is a little on the hefty side, it was even worse with a set of pegs on, not a bad bike but just takes too much effort to get up onto ledges and rails, just got to get shut of it and then it's shopping time.

Pictures of my play bike as promised. Needs a good clean and service me thinks.

It was originally geared with vertical dropouts but i dont like gears so I chopped off the old dropouts and put on some off an old BMX.

You want an S&M L.A.F you do, or a Fit Aitken S3.

Only one: ornery Giant OCR2 with Kysirium Elites, tri-bars and a posh saddle. Had it for a year, now itching to upgrade to something with a bit more carbon than just the forks...

fixedwheelnut. I always seem to miss the Grimpeur ride. I ride as many of the Reliabilty rides that dont clash with the end of the Cross season races, then take it easy after that. I shall make a mental note of it being in March and see you next year.

Nice frames, but I really need a 21" top tube scratchchin
Got an offer of a slightly used Fly Diablo for the price of a pint so seems rude not to go for that, then it's beg steal and borrow for all the other bits

Raceboy, this is my Fly Pantera frame. Had an old WeThePeople 4Seasons which I loved and didn't think could be replaced, but this did the job a treat. I think its 20.75", which is pretty much 21"

This is my Azonic DS1

Middleburn cranks and front cogs.
Mazuch....something forks
Mavic rims
Magura HS33 brakes
£7.50 Tranz-x stem boxedin

Well you could get 21" in either and they go up in .25" increments and are lovely. If the Diablo really is the price of a pint then it sounds like an almost fair deal, as long as it's a pint of Fosters.
