It's the 'main' road down past the hospital, it comes in under the TF-1 with the crazy junction at the bottom. Are you thinking of the very narrow road that comes in past the monkey park?

Keep replaying the descent in my head, convinced I could take the top spot!
Ah, yeah different place. I'm talking about Escala to Arona. Now 20s off of the lead, i'l have it next time out smile

PH attempt at Teide descent record?

Disappointed my top speed was only 46mph but I couldn't spin the legs any faster and I must admit to not being a fan of the PRO aero tuck.

Finally got round to fine tuning the On One Inbred I built on Friday. The saddle might move back a touch, but thats about it now. Just need to drop it onto the LBS to get the brake hoses shortened.

They are Vittoria Open Corsa SC tyres. They ride as good as they look smile

Also managed to pick this up for my wife on ebay over the weekend for an absolute steal:

Needs a tiny bit of TLC but should be good to go with a bit of a service, inner wheel guards and some new tyres.
One happy wife who can now come for a ride and keep up with me & the kids.
Funny to see where forums cross over, I spotted this one on bikeradar as well wink

Bought my first 'proper' road bike last month, having previously owned an 'urban'/CX bike with drop bars. That had to go to pay the bills, but picked this up off a mate for a bargain price. Should point out that I was given a pair of Fulcrum R7s for free off a friend in return for building a bike for him, the rear freehub is campy though so I'm waiting until I can afford to stick a shimano one on there. Maybe next month.

On the evening commute:

It comes in at just under 6kg. Storck Aernario Platinum with carbon power arm cranks, lightweight Gipfelsturm wheels and Dura Ace Di2. Fast and comfortable too.

I was told to post in here, so apologies for posting my new bike again!! It's the 8.0 Di2. I had a bike fit on Saturday morning and I've done about 100 miles on it now and it's bloody awesome. I appreciate I've probably got a bit of new bike syndrome, but I can easily hold about 1mph more than I'm used to. Any power you put through the pedals is just instantly transfered to the road. Such great value too for what you get.

Yes, yes, I'll loose the disc on the back wheel soon..... wobble

Love me some Dutch bikes. We have a BSP Seine moederfiets for my wife. Even though the kids have long since graduated to riding their own bikes, she won't get rid of it for something lighter. 5sp Nexus hub, ancient hub brakes, weighs a ton. Most comfy cruiser anywhere. Bit like the W124 of the bike world.

I picked up a calibre two two mtb at the weekend on the strength of the reviews and the good spec. I paid £380 for it and was happy to pay that but I went back to go outdoors today to pick something up and noticed that they had 20% off in a blue cross sale. Chanced my arm and asked could they match the price and they said yes so had £76 refunded smile Genuine bargain at £304.

I've since put on some decent lock on grips and swapped out a few higher spec bits from my old 16inch carrera fury which has now passed on to the wife.

I think it's funny how you can call over 2 grand for a bike 'great value'. A few years ago most would call you a lunatic! Now most on here, myself included would agree and say lovely looking bike smile

That's a bit nice that, looking for something lightweight for the wife and that could fit the bill. Dare I ask how many pennies?

This was bit of a custom build Chris. Take a look on my profile and email me via the website. I don't want to contravene any posting rules here.

I was going to wait but then i thought if i wait too long the summer will be over.

Ooh lovely.

You might get lucky with the build / delivery date. They quoted April 23rd when i ordered my Pro DX Cross in early March. It came 10 days early biggrin
Unexpected mail from Rose today saying Bike due to be delivered next Thursday woohoo ( 2 weeks early )

Feeling like I'm 10 years old again on christmas eve !
