Ordered 4 bags of Haribo from Wiggle today... thought the box was larger than expected biggrin

Felt Edict 3 2015 - managed to get an ex-demo one from Wiggle at a substantial saving. All I need to do now is figure out what to do with it - probably a bit different from my Tarmac!

So, the Storck is almost complete

An edit to update the picture to one of it with its proper wheels

It is a magnificent thing to perch on and pedal. Very comfortable, very responsive and very predictable.

The EPS gears are splendid and I have got used to the larger diameter handlebars already. I think I am going to get on well with it

Likely a couple of minor tweaks to the position of the lever hoods to get it bang on, but it isn't far off now

I want it ready for Sunday for a sportive, which means it needed to be ready today for a quick ride / adjustment session and then a reasonable ride tomorrow to get used to it for Sunday.

I haven't yet made satisfactory adjustments to a set of brake blocks in order to get the Rolf Prima wheels running properly on it so, for now, it is on a mismatched set of Kysiriums. They are good wheels, but they are 800g heavier than the Rolfs - meaning that the complete bike is coming in at 6.795kg whereas it will just scrape under 6 when I get the brakes sorted. I will butcher another set of pads tonight and see how that goes.

So far it has covered about 8 miles - with frequent stops for adjustments.

It is a magnificent thing to perch on and pedal. Very comfortable (as much as I can judge in 8 miles), very responsive and very predictable.

The EPS gears are splendid and I think I will get used to the larger diameter handlebars quick enough. I think I am going to get on well with it

what is with the droopy saddle?

partly the angle of the photo I think, but I did tweak it up a touch as one of the adjustments made on the first ride out

the beak bit right at the front is a feature of the sellsmp range: in their words "1. The nose of the saddle: the characteristic "beak" shape has been designed to provide a flat base for strain when sitting, for example when facing long uphill climbs and as help in descents, offering greater bike control using the thighs. Furthermore, the most important thing is that testicles are not pressed upward."

it is comfy!

My Canyon

Done around 1500 miles on it now, took a while getting my fit bang on but seem to have got it eventually. The Aeroads are a bit of a head turner. It is super stiff and can be quite punishing on the body on long rides sometimes especially over bad roads.

Changed the bar tape and swapped the saddle. Have to say I love it, but it will soon be going into hibernation for the winter

Looks very swish, I like it, especially around the bars / stem area. I had a close look at something very similar on Sunday and it was quite menacing in real life. I can imagine that small triangle at the back does knock a bit off the comfort factor.

Could people please stop posting pictures of Canyons? I've a feeling that it could be bad for my financial health biggrin

About $700 million a year. So about 1/2 of the cost of the bike wink
