Pinnacle Pyrolite 2 for the winter, reduced from £1k to £600. Discs, clearance for 35c tyres, 105 and proper mudguard mounts. I've changed a few bits for stuff I had in the garage from previous bikes and added the fluoro tape and cages. Tried converting the wheels to tubeless but it's leaking from the valve, I might try and find some proper tubeless ready wheels as I'm getting sick of messing about with Gorilla tape and sealant!

That's pretty cool. Take a look at Hunt wheels?macp said:
Its a serious looking piece of kit I like it but check out the seat height.
Thanks, there's a bit more post than I like but looks worse in the picture, reach and stack are about right.I'd seen the Hunt wheels on the Mason bikes, they're surprisingly good value but I might try again with with their tubeless rim tape first as I'm trying to keep the spending down!

New Fulcrum Racing 3 wheels with a few white accents on the bike to match the white hubs.
I think the 2-3mph should have a caveat!
There are loads of wheels around at that price level, I went for some hand builts from cycleclinic but off the shelf ones are just as good if they suit what you want them for.
Only issue with the fulcrums is spares are expensive and when the rims are worn out you need to chuck them.

New winter bike ready to roll
Courtesy of ebay, I am the third owner of the bike, but will be the first to ride it (its a long story, most of which may well be true)
Moda Nocturne Titanium frame with SRAM Apex Barelli bits. Quite a nice machine.
Changed the saddle to a www.sellesmp.com for comfort, added the Look pedals and it is almost ready to roll

They are a world apart from the standard wheels and the best £300 i've spent. They are stiff and solid on rough roads, they roll much faster and as result my average speed has increased by 2-3 mph. In short I love them
Upgrading wheels will not increase your speed by 2-3 mph. Any speed improvements you're seeing are due putting more effort in or because you're cycling an easier route or in more favourable weather conditions. I'm an advocate of wheel upgrades, but principally for their superior 'feel' and their aesthetics.nammynake said:
