We did, and had a quick spin out to Bideford on the Tarka trail and then back along the road in the downpour. Absolutely unbelievable service from the guys at the bike Shed, simply outstanding customer service.
Bike is epic, such a comfortable ride.
Awesome..... Tarka Trail is pretty good when you're fed up of traffic, we do it quite a lot....... I've had a bike fit at their Exeter store from Bill who is top notch and knows his stuff inside out..... well recommended if you need a fit on it :-) bike pics to follow i hope..... ?! Bike is epic, such a comfortable ride.
Can't remember if I posted this up or not, it'll have had some changes anyway. Notably stuff I've broken:
Aside from that, the bike itself rides brilliantly, we've really bonded.
- Been through three rear tyres since september (maxxis ardent, conti trail king, conti mountain king) as I keep putting holes in the bloody things. Granted the ardent was my own fault as I elected to complete a gravity enduro stage with a flat, however the contis seem to just commit suicide any time they come into contact with anything that vaguely resembles a pointy rock. Utter rubbish.
- I've also had a new reverb after that gave up the ghost in a number of ways.
- Zee rear mech after I smashed my SLX one off at a race
- Raceface half nelson grips
- The fork had to go back to mojo as the CTD cartridge gave up the ghost. They fitted the new 2016 FIT4 damper. I can't honestly tell the difference, but the fork behaves well and hasn't broken yet. Winner.
- Stans Arch rear wheel on Sram X9 hub, after the original cheese-based Kore wheel was too full of dents to seal a tubeless tyre
- I've also stuck a mudhugger FR front mud guard on there - excellent bit of kit. Miles ahead of a marsh guard.

Thats a lovely looking bike, but to have that many issues with the components, are you under biked?- Been through three rear tyres since september (maxxis ardent, conti trail king, conti mountain king) as I keep putting holes in the bloody things. Thanks. To be honest, I think I've just been a bit unlucky. A few are warranty issues from the saracen a lot of the parts came off. The reverb broke because some riding buddies knocked me off my bike my accident. The mech broke because I was riding like a tool in my race run. The tyres I think a combination of the previous reason, and that they were crap in the first place. Brake, not too sure what's going on there... Could be my cack-handedness when changing hoses.Finished my fixie project just in time for the stty winter weather...
