Picked up a Cannondale CAADX 105 today after a lot of deliberation. It replaces a 13 year old Edinburgh Bicycle Hybrid, which is completely worn out, so quite a difference!

E

My son's winter bike, not that you really need one in Mallorca. Interestingly, the bike has had a starring rôle in a film.

The commuter hack:

An old 90s Raleigh Record Sprint Plus. With a touring front fork following a spectacular crash. And a bent drop bar. And the most 80s/90s graphics in the world. I've had it 5yrs. The plan for the summer is a complete strip and refurb, probably removing the stickers and maybe even new paint. We'll see!

The roadie:

Bog standard 58cm 2015 Giant Defy 1. Does everything I need, has the new 105 gearset so 11 on the cassette. Comfy, quick, agile. I'm no racer so I won't be upgrading any time soon! Obviously, that is a picture with the original st pedals, I have switched to clipless.

New one piece carbon bars on the Dogma. Look pretty, feel great. Also boasts built-in Garmin holder.

New commuter picked up last night. Nothing special and needs a few adjustments.

After deliberating over a 56 or a 58 S-Works, I'm pleased I went with the 56, seems to ride superbly so far, super stiff front and and much more compliant on the bumpy stuff than my S5. Also the paint work in the flesh is outrageous, I should hang it on my wall really smile

Old, custom frame (Easton ultralite) with XT 10x2 groups and some yummy Hope race brakes. Very light package and great fun to ride. Note the horribly retro bar ends smile

Only irritating part about the frame is the 26.8mm seatpost which limits choice (and means I couldn't fit a dropper even if I wanted to).

This is mine. I just bought it from eBay for £10 as it was around the corner from where I work. With a bit of effort I think it should clean up ok and make a decent pub\canal bike.

Reminds me of some of Colnago's work. They should sue Specialized; if any company deserves it, they do.

My first foray into road riding (I'm a MTBer).... Trek Silque - some sort of clever tech in the seat tube to help with road vibration. My main gripe buying this, was the difficulty in finding any women's frames in stock anywhere to have a demo ride on frown Loads of blokes bikes, and some small women's ones, but no larger ones even at specialist shops. Evans was the best bet as they would order one in, but was struggling with availability as it seems to be the end of Trek's model year so v low stock. In fact I might've bought the last one of these as they aren't in stock anywhere now !

First ride was on Sunday - 50km loop in 2 hours - very comfortable except I need a new saddle !!!

And so he doesn't feel left out, this is the MTB (not a great photo!)

That's them, but I "are they any good".

Apologies for being a bit vague.
