I'd been considering a new road bike for a while having been riding my Cube Peloton for the last two years (my first road bike). I was keen to get something with hydraulic discs as I'm a big fan and I really wanted Di2. I'd kinda given up as the bikes were largely the wrong side of £3k but my local Hargroves was discontinuing their stock of Boardman bikes and had 25% off on all of them. So here's my Boardman SLR Endurance 9.4 disc:
I've not ridden it properly yet, only slowly with my father in law, but need to sort out the dropping saddle. Prior to that it felt great. A couple of Kg lighter than my Cube like for like and the Di2 is great. Speaking of the Cube it's going to sit inside as my turbo trainer bike but I'm probably going to ditch the Sora groupset for a 105 groupset. I the. Have my father in law's old Argos steel bike to refurbish and I'd like to do some MTBing to mix thugs up. Then there's the idea of a titanium winter bike and... love N+1

So want a disc braked road bike and then I might turn my Kinesis into a flat bar commuter.I was lusting over a black cannondale but that looks nice.Anybody interested in a red/white rockhopper to fund it. After years of telling myself that buying a mountain bike was a step too far into the "things that will definitely injure me" direction, I have folded and joined the muddy side. A 2013 Lapierre X-Flow 312 with upgraded XT brakes and new rear mech, and a lovely Reverb dropper post.
Got a good evening in on Follow the Dog and the Monkey Trail at Cannock to break it in. Great fun!
Well after riding a 2nd hand Carrera for a while I decided that it was time to treat myself to a 'proper' road bike. Visited Giant Bristol over the bank holiday to have a look at what they had in their end of season sale. Yesterday I collected my 2016 TCR Advanced 1.
Tool it out on one of my usual routes, over 62k it was just under 5kph quicker than the old Carrera. It was an absolute pleasure to ride, chuffed to bits.
