Started building the Parlee today. That steerer!
Frustrating this is as far I can go for now. We're in the middle of buying a house. Will resume the build once we're in and settled.
Small world..... it was me who commented on this on FB cycling group telling you to hurry up and get it finished!Frustrating this is as far I can go for now. We're in the middle of buying a house. Will resume the build once we're in and settled.

That Codeine looks lovely, fantastic colour. What brakes are they? Trying to see whats going on with the discs, they appear to have something extra inside the braking surface.
Thanks. The rotors are these http://www.superstarcomponents.com/en/alpine-evo-r... the inner section is just an alloy heat sink, probably overkill for the UK, but will hopefully keep them cool when I make it out to the Alps.I might move to a 180mm front rotor though brakes themselves are Magura MT5 calipers mated to Shimano XTR Race levers and they are crazy powerful.

Question for you guys that are running a single chain ring on the front with no form of chain guide/tensioner, how does your chain not flick off all the time?
I
Most half decent rear mechs these days have a clutch to tension the chain and that is good enough for most people who don't do hardcore downhill.I

Cheers! The rear mech has a clutch to stop it moving about when not shifting and the front chainring has narrow wide teeth to match up with the chain links and provide better grip. It's at the point now where a chain guide is more often a hindrance because I get so few dropped chains. Much easier to once in a blue moon pop the chain back on than have it clogged with mud every time I go out. I race occasionally and only ever use one in the Alps, but even then I doubt it's usefulness.Question for you guys that are running a single chain ring on the front with no form of chain guide/tensioner, how does your chain not flick off all the time?

GT RTS-3 with a few changes such as magura hydraulic rim brakes and odyssey shark bites, dave's chain device and lots of mint sauce stickers
...oh and a giro switchblade helmet

Sweet - all the must haves from about 1994! Don't forget the club roosts and the Judys. All its missing is a titanium flight seat! I so wanted one of these when I was younger. One of my dream bikes. The LTS never did it for me in the same way. Have you thought about finding some spins?GT RTS-3 with a few changes such as magura hydraulic rim brakes and odyssey shark bites, dave's chain device and lots of mint sauce stickers
