For all you Supersix riders - I'm considering buying one. Previously had a Planet X road carbon pro.

Just how comfy are the Supersix's to ride? I'm getting conflicting reports via google so thought I'd ask on here.

Nice bike but lose the toe-straps and they can be lethal to your ankles and knees.

Photo was taken about an hour after I picked it up. Straps went after about 10 mins - clips went as soon as I had a spanner that fitted (left it at home when I went for the shakedown ride).

Very, mine is the evo six evo ultegra, so it is not the fancy Hi mod. Had it for four weeks and it is very comfortable so far. Much more so than my Aluminium Trek.

Probably a few tweeks to the fit and it needs a bottle cage and seat pack but it's ready for a shakedown this weekend.

A couple of days ago I got my 3rd bike - and 3rd Boardman in fact! Though this was 2nd hand off Ebay at a massive saving - the chap had only done 10 miles on it.
Its this years Pro carbon hardtail - a 650b.
Only had one ride round Swinley Blue on it so far - despite starting off pretty nervously and then being held up in a few places I was only about 30 secs off my PB in the end. Looking on Strava shows that (predictably) its quicker on the longer flatter sections, whereas the harder bumpier sections my Boardman F/S is quicker. But its early days yet!
Got it just in time, as the bottom bracket on the F/S has seized, and I have a Shimano XT Crankset + BB on order for £97, whereas a replacement FSA BB alone would cost a whopping £40! (Craftily FSA have made the crank about 0.2mm too wide to fit conventional Shimano/Hope bottom brackets)

Yeah, I was dubious initially but bid £920 and won. Before hand I did some pretty L33t Internet data-mining and found the seller on a popular bike forum - he'd been on there years and looked legit.
Collected it from his house and spend a while chatting and looking at his bike collection in his garage/bike workshop - had a seriously nice collection of much more expensive bikes. Seems it was a genuine case of having enough money to buy a bike like that on a whim and then deciding it wasn't for him.

Just finished building up my new bike.

Bird Cycleworks is a new company based in Eversley in Hampshire by 3 guys who decided to design their own range of bikes and sell direct. 650b hardtails at the moment with a great looking full suspension being tested now. Full builds and frame sets available and i went for the frame and built it up to be a fun bike more for DH than XC.

Anyway it is awesome!!!!

Brand new Rubino Pro Tech 25mm for Ride London. A bit more cushioning, puncture protection, and above all - look better than the green-stripe Pro 3s.

I do feel a little dirty coming into this thread with what is more like a "Bike-Shaped Object" than a bike, but due to this:




I am in the process of commissioning this BSO into being my latest commuter. I do have a decent bike for weekends etc....and I'm hoping the Diamondback will improve my fitness, being a big heavy lump with ballons for tyres!
