Not found an official weight, but seen 9.2kg. Most agree that the wheels could be changed for a lighter set as they are pretty weighty.

This arrived on Thursday. Full ultegra 11speed is a bit of an upgrade from the 9speed sora on my old allez sport.

Looks cracking. Have an older version of this, absolutely love it. Did the Pedal 4 Scotland 110mile sportive last week and only seen one other Biachi and it was white, so it stands out, love mine

Bianchis should be celeste!

I have a soft spot for the brand. My first road bike was a Bianchi although in white with celeste flashes, bar tape and saddle.

I really like that. Not sure why but planet x had never really been on my radar for road bikes, think when the time comes and the cash I will really consider one.

BEFORE:

AFTER:

Yes I know it's grubby and many rules are broken.

Unchanged spec is:

- DA 7900 (10 speed) all round (except crankset)
- 3T finishing kit with gorgeous carbon bars and Lizard Skin tape.

Mods are:

- Cack-handed American brake setup swapped to the correct hands.
- Horrible (but valuable) Fizik Arione Tri 2 saddle swapped for Selle Italia Flite Flow Kit Carbonio (stupidly long name, but an eBay bargain at £48). Seems hard but supportive so far.
- 90mm 3T Arx-Team stem swapped for 110mm version of the same - stem flipped.
- Look Keo pedals swapped for my Shimano R540s - they can be upgraded over time but will do for now. I don't really like SPD-SL so might give the Keos a try at some point.
- Mavic Ksyrium Elites swapped for my Quattros. These will be my winter wheels - I want some 50mm carbon clinchers for next spring, which will finish off the look of the bike.
- Rotor double crankset swapped for Ultegra 6750 compact, meaning that I can actually ride up hills.

Nice machine.

What is the story of the stem? Looks strange in the photo, as if shimmed below and above. Is it just the angle of the shot?

A very shrewd observation sir. The bar tape was a particularly thick variety and I had difficulty getting it to tuck in neatly behind the plug. Not my best bar wrapping effort. I will re-do it at some point when I can be bothered. smile

Yep right on the first count, stunning indeed, and in actual fact it's a present Sky team bike therefore I can't lay claim to owning it! It belongs to team Sky's present physio, Dan Guillemette who I'm very good friends with, he popped round yesterday for a chat. The bike is actually about 2 years old and it's the one they used for their spring classics campaign last year or the year before. Personally I'm not a huge fan of Pinarellos, but I think Sky have definitely nailed it with the black/blue combo - looks great.

Regarding the stem setup, I'm not entirely sure why it looks like that but I think it's because the forks are cut to suit the rider's dimensions.

If anyone is interested, they will be selling of this year's bikes at a greatly reduced price - some proper bargains to be had.

The Team Sky bikes usually have slammed stems and that one doesn't. They slam the stems and cut the top flush.

I'm not sure they are the bargain they used to be. The last batch had frames only at about £1800 and complete bikes (sans wheels and pedals) from £3500-5000. Used to be cheaper up to a couple of years back.

Your saddle looks nose down too, find yourself slipping off the front?
