I don't think I've posted this before, but seeing as there have been a few DH bikes mentioned, here was mine that I rode in 2003/2004. It's been sold since though frown Every component was either Hope or RaceFace!

However I collected this last night - Something a little bit different! It's a Breath YES 26" trials bike smile

OT, how have you found the SID's? I am being told that I need to service them every 15 hours, mine (XX 100mm) are currently off being stripped as they were showing some bad signs. Every 15 hours would be twice a month, these mtb's, not exactly tough it seems? Everything I am hearing about various components when used with the word 'lightweight' means.....

You are about to spend a large sum of money

(lovely bike by the way)

the top one is a 2013 frame and modern kit, im going to go out with my son and have some fun on it, its also the X Large frame. The the bottom one is 1983 frame and 95% 80s original kit. I've ridden it a few times, but frankly it should be hanging on a wall somewhere.
I love the Chrome Skyway! I used to have one and now reminisce over it.

When the opportunity arises, I'll most likely buy one and get my son to ride it!

Does it do different heights, or just up and down only?

No fixed mid positions like fox but is infinitely adjustable though inevitably I just use up or down position. Feel free to pm

New Mango bike, set up for single speed at the moment although I'm dying to try it fixed. Managed to get a fairly large discount through a special offer on a student website so thought it was worth a punt. Preferred a more subtle colour scheme than some of the multicoloured ones I've seen in the past. First impressions are ok and was well put together, the saddle is actually similar to the Charge Spoon and was a pleasant surprise. The paint looks and feels like a satin finish which might be a pain to keep spotless, (knew I should've gone for black laugh). Everything else seems fine, although I may swap out the calipers with some spares I have knocking around as these feel a bit too budget.

Nice! smile

I have an old GT World Tour in storage back in the States; doubt I'll ever get rid of it.

That Stanton is properly lovely! I've always had a soft spot for aggressive steel hardtails, and that ticks all the right boxes!
