My new race-day steed:

That looks ace. All tyres should be gumwall.Felt AR3, RS81 C50 wheels, and the last addition being a pair of Vittoria Open Corsa SC tyres for effect...
My new Carbine build
The last full bounce bike I owned was a single-pivot Marin. This may lack the ease of maintenance, but it's worth it. Very impressed.
Heres mine, Specialized Allez, I know very little about its age/model but would welcome any info from those with the knowledge, purchased this a few months back and thoroughly enjoy it.
Its not perfect and needs a small amount of work but its superlight and a great ride. Ill do a separate thread with my niggles where hopefully you guys can share some knowledge.
Heres another bike I bought on Ebay as a project, Coventry Eagle, it cost me £14.50 and was local needs two tyres/tubes one pedal is bashed up so will change them and rear brake cable is knackered so will spend a few weeks repairing/cleaning and see how it comes out, weighs a ton compared to the specialized.

I have no idea yet, it'll be the first time on mtb out there. It'll be cool one day on the road one day mtb. I like going fast downhill, mtb skills are lacking but I enjoy the buzz.

I am focusing on Teide this time, last year I was hobbled with compact gearing, I don't give a toss about the climbs this year and have a slug more power anyway to get over it, it's all about having big enough gears going down Off road it looks terrifying, which is cool. It gets to a point on the road where you are just sat there waiting for corners, we hit 120kmh or so that week and it didn't seem a big deal. 90kmh on the mtb is very different. Last year was pretty happy as there are a good few pros which we beat downhill, when it gets to 3000 odd people and you're at the sharp end it's nice. Trogs is easy, the further you go linking the apexes is where it's just mental. You don't want to crash there though, I ran wide and was looking over the edge chasing a ducati, long, long way down. Its all dependent on traffic, overtaking stuff slows the pace. Some of the superbike riders look at you as if you are insane, the fact is they are a bit st.
I know what you mean. On my recent trip the hire bike was running 52-12 as its highest gear and it just wasn't enough.https://www.strava.com/activities/173961926/segmen...

Ended up 3 mins off the leader from the 2100m point to Los Cristianos, super frustrating in hindsight as being held up by traffic heading into La Camella cost me a chunk of time, I also didn't push hard enough past the vineyard section from Vilaflor. Next time!
Is that the twisty road into Los Cristianos, IIRC A right turn off the main road? We had top five last year for a while, suffered a bit with arm pump and it is always at the end of a hard day. But it's so smooth and the corners just flow, it's one of my favourite descents anywhere. Everyone goes on and on about Spain but Tenerife is a different world, perfect as long as you don't want a flat day out

It's the 'main' road down past the hospital, it comes in under the TF-1 with the crazy junction at the bottom. Are you thinking of the very narrow road that comes in past the monkey park? Keep replaying the descent in my head, convinced I could take the top spot!

PH attempt at Teide descent record?
Disappointed my top speed was only 46mph but I couldn't spin the legs any faster and I must admit to not being a fan of the PRO aero tuck.
