How do you get on with the cage-less water bottles?
They get a mixed review from me. They're very cheap, light and look so much better than a cage which got me to buy them. In use they're very secure, can be quite difficult to replace especially when empty as they need a good firm push to get them seated and it's not quite the effortless high cadence replacement I'm used to with a normal bottle, but I reckon that'll become better with time. The worst bit is the drinking valve which is pretty crummy and a bit leaky, unfortunately I haven't found any other lids which fit yet either. With a Camelbak bite valve I'd love them.

And if running a tri-spoke wasn't hipster enough, here's my latest toy.

This is mine. I just bought it from eBay for £10 as it was around the corner from where I work. With a bit of effort I think it should clean up ok and make a decent pub\canal bike.

This is the bike now it's finished, it rides pretty well and I'm happy with the way it has turned out.

Are all the bikes brand new there are no wear marks on them, they do look good though.

Funnily enough I was just thinking the same thing. All my mtbs look like they've been in a war.

2012 Giant Defy Advanced 1 - upgraded wheels to Fulcrum Racing Zeros. Good enough bike although I feel an upgrade might be on for next year

So new I haven't fitted pedals or removed reflectors yet. Not as posh as many on here, but I like it.

That is a good looking bike and very practical, I enjoy riding my cross bike more than my road or Mtn bike. Bit of green laning and bridleways, you can always jump off and carry it if it gets too extreme.

I guess it must be the angle of the photo but those shifters look massive and well out of proportion with the rest of the (rather smart looking) bike.

Partially the angle, but they are rather long. Also the forward section of the bar is quite short, so that exaggerates it. When riding, I don't really notice.
