New adventure, all-terrain bike. Cant wait to get testing it. Complete change to my carbon race bike, but exciting.

Back from the shop, lots of new shiny Hope bits, new BB bearings, front ring, chain, forks etc.

Started building the Parlee today. That steerer!



Frustrating this is as far I can go for now. We're in the middle of buying a house. Will resume the build once we're in and settled.

I'd try sticking some threaded bar in the wall and use tube to hide the exposed bits between the dropouts.

I can understand providing for varying heights with new forks, but that's taking the piss

I love it, lots of fun, but will take on anything. Definitely great value, I was looking around for a frame maybe a touch longer in reach, but I'd have to spend so much to get anything comparable that I'll stick with the Codeine until it dies most likely!

That Codeine looks lovely, fantastic colour. What brakes are they? Trying to see whats going on with the discs, they appear to have something extra inside the braking surface.

Thanks. The rotors are these http://www.superstarcomponents.com/en/alpine-evo-r... the inner section is just an alloy heat sink, probably overkill for the UK, but will hopefully keep them cool when I make it out to the Alps.

I might move to a 180mm front rotor though brakes themselves are Magura MT5 calipers mated to Shimano XTR Race levers and they are crazy powerful.

Thanks, not seen the superstars rotors with cooling fins before. I've just got normal Hope floaters on my Enduro 205 front and think its a 180 on the rear. Safe to say I'm way overbraked for pretty much anything the way I ride nowadays :

I tried off-roading a few times on my skinny tyred commuter and it was a bit sketchy, not to mention murder on the forearms, especially when it was a bit icy




So since I intend to do lots of regular weekend riding I treated myself to this



Now I just need to get off my backside & get it muddy.
