I can't comment on SRAM Red as I've never ridden it, but as far as the DoubleTap levers go I absolutely love them. The biggest bonus with them is the fact that you can shift into a higher gear whilst on the drops, whereas with Shimano you need to be on the hoods. Perfect for when you are absoltely steaming along smile
You can shift both ways from the drops on everything from Tiagra up in the Shimano range, unless I'm missing something confused
I suspect he has got campag and shimano confused...
But you can shift both ways from the drops on Campag Ergopower shifters, unless I'm missing something. confused
The only Campag I have ever used had the little thumb shifter on the hoods - so on anatomic bars, holding the horizontal bit on the bottom of they drops they are impossible to reach - same way Shimano Sora is - I'm assuming they have changed it?

The layout you describe sounds right. Holding the large flat bit that's at roughly 45 degrees to the horizontal it's easy to reach the small buttons that shift to a smaller sprocket / chainring. Holding the horizontal bit on the bottom of the drops I don't think I'd reach either shift lever, be it Campag, Shimano or SRAM.

Ahh, it's down to how I hold the bars then - I always sprint from the flat bit of the drops and can still flick upshifts with DA - Maybe I just have long fingers?

ETA - that seatpost looks mahoosive!

That frame is way too small for you given the stack height

No, it's the right size, it just has a short headtube. I had a proper fitting in the shop and the next size up had too long a toptube for me.

That particular frame only comes in small, medium & large with a bigger jump between sizes than a frame that comes in say 48, 50, 52, 54, 56, 58 & 60cm. The small could be adapted to fit me but the medium would be too big regardless.
