After a bit of advice from Sidi shoe owners.

As I live in the back of beyond (in Sidi world terms) I am going to have to buy mail order.

Is there a particular Sidi sizing peculiarity that I should be aware of?

Is it a case of "you always buy 2 sizes larger when buying Sidi"?

Thanks in advance....

I suggest you order from a site that allows returns, buy a size below, yours size, and a size above......try them all, send back the wrong size's...

i found the sizing to be spot on with my current shoe size, word of warning though as they can be known to be a narrow fit. If you have wide fit then i suggest you order a Mega size as these are a wider fit.

Stunning shoes though smile

We sell them in the shop (only size 11 and above mind you) and generally find they are spot on with sizes. The sizes on the box are US though, so just check that any company are quoting the UK size and not the US one.

I wear a 14 in the Mega and its a little bit wide for my foot, but a standard is just a touch too narrow. I have a pretty standard width foot.

Thanks for the advice.

I'll go for my usual size then...and hope the width thing, which I didn't know about, isn't a problem

I normally wear a 43 in trainers or walking boots. My Shimano R086 road shoes and my Sidi Energy 2 road shoes are a 44 and I don not have particularly wide feet at all. Both the Shimano's and the Sidi's in a 43 were too small. I was luckyenough to try on both shoes before I bought them.

Finally got to try some Sidi shoes on.
I was fully two sizes larger than my normal shoes!

Oh well, I suppose it doesn't work for everyone. I wear a 14 shoe and take a Sidi size 14. I've had a customer with size 15s into a 14 before as well and he is really happy with them.

May be different with the smaller sizes I suppose. Glad you got the chance to try them on though.
