I thought it was the sound of a stopwatch, but I wasn't listening that closely. Also, track bikes don't have free-wheel mechanisms.

Er, yes, I know. Hence starting the thread, and the sarcastic "er" comment before the word frewheel...

However (joking aside), you might be right, it might be a stopwatch...I thought it was the, erm... (sarcastic erm and dots) "sound" (please note ironic speech marks) of her bringing her pedal up before getting going. But you may well have a point on the watch, have to listen again.

(Althogh we will have to check with a watch pedant on t'other thread section to see if the movement matches the noise...and for that matter why is the watch running before she sets off!)

More to the point, why are there no Pendle Pics on this thread?
