I quite like the idea of having the frame on my 2009 Trek 6300 just plain white with no decals. I thought probably the best thing to do is take it to a car body shop and have them strip and repaint it or is there an easier way? It's just purely for as aesthetics. Just an idea!
Anyone done this before?

That sounds like a great price, I wouldn't even consider it if it was getting into the £100s the frame is in great condition I just crave a plain frame with no cluttered ste on it!
Thanks for the info.
I did a bit of research and some of the 'bike specialist' guys are much more expensive. Wander through the forums and there's recommendations of more industrial guys who don't advertise. Phone them up, drop by the warehouse, hand over some cash etc... Thanks for the info.
Still need loads of bits for the bike so no peeking yet. There'll be a thread one day

Looks excellent Ally, where is it? I'm in Glasgow south side.
I'm in Falkirk and this place is just in the town centre, not far from the new football stadium:http://www.williamspowdercoating.co.uk/

Wullie's a bit of a petrolhead too, good guy to chat with. They've got a track Clio 172 and he drives a Clio R27. My frame colour's actually the colour of the anthracite alloys fitted to R27's: he had extra powder left over from powdercoating his own wheels. Only problem can be he can be busy and is quite "relaxed" about dates, but if you're not in a hurry for it then he's worth a try.
If you do use him, mention Ally with the VW camper and bike frames told you
