That's impressive given that they've retained standard gearing.

I wonder how long it would last? The pedals look stupid.

Given what you spent on your you should be able to tell us what the most expensive & lightest chain is wink

The KMC X10SL is quoted at less than 250g for 116 links

Is it just me that wants to see a picture of that bike on a plain pale background but full screen so that I can look at it properly and in isolation, rather than the really fussy backgrounds and stupid angle shots...just one picture, that's all I ask.

Sorry, I got that slightly mixed up. The lightest is YBN who make chains for a number of OEM's including KCNC

KMC make their own chains, but they are slightly heavier as they are just titanium nitride coating, all the links and pins are still steel.

They are Aerolites... which are actually very good pedals ;-)

Hasn't changed, still 6.8kg.

It's a good idea to have a limit IMO, for safety and sanity reasons, although maybe they should reduce it down a few hundred grams to force the pro teams to make compromises between aero and lightness.

No point me having a light chain or anything - The thing with the most weight to be removed is the rider!
When you put that much mass on a crank you need "strong"

Wow, That frame is nearly €4600, for 750g.

Scott addict frame is only 40g heavier but is about £3000 less. Insanity.

My friend is a bit fat but spends thousands on his bike buying tiny weight improvements. He could easily shave 2/3 stone from his body. hehe

It's often not about improving performance but more about just trying to make a really light bike with nice looking bits on it.

That Spin was built quite a long time ago (5 or 6 years now IIRC). Technology has moved on. For example Cervelo R5 California http://www.cervelo.com/en_us/bikes/2011/R5ca/ running approx 650g for the frameset @ £7499

Someone on WW built one up the other week, first customer bike I have actually seen. Stunning
