Oakley M Frames. My pair has done me proud since 1993
+1Think mine are 1994/5 and still going strong. Oakley even replaced the frames for free after an accident when they were around 5 years old. They are fairly expensive (try the vault outlets for deals) but are very good value.
Got some 10/11 year old A wires too and Oakley sent me new ear socks last year for free.
How is this for an alternative, a pair of Bolle Contour safety glasses (clear) for forest riding and cloudy days, and a pair of Bolle Viper sunglasses for the sunny XC days - you can pick the pair up for less than a tenner and if you drop/scratch/leave on the roof of the car/stick in the back pocket and sit on them - who cares!! I have been using the same couple of pairs for the past 18 months, the clear ones are about due for a change but for £5 a pair I am not really fussed! I have to admit they don't look as good as Oakleys but they don't look like safety glasses either.
If you are worried about forest fashion then go for the Oakleys, if you want to protect your eyes and spend money on your bike then safety glasses are the way forward!

I've always used M-Frames but the fashionista in me thought they were looking a little 90s so I got some jawbones. Didn't expect them to be as effective but maybe they just fit my face better as I love em.
Got them from here with a decent discount:

Have a look on PBK website, they do some nice specs on there and often have discounts available.
Years ago I was put off M frames. My mate had a big stack and sliced his face open with the edge of the lense, wasnt pretty and he still has the scare.

Either the aldi / lidl ones work for me, or the dhb ones you get free with your first order from wiggle if you use a referral. The wiggle ones are quite nice. kind of roadie oriented but thats fine for me
Agree, the dhb ones are excellent and IMO are a step above the safety specs I've tried from Screwfix. My favourite are some BBB triple lens ones that cost around £25 from CRC around a years or so back - just seem to fit me well.I don't go for the whole expensive glasses idea as I'm usually riding in mud and lenses WILL get scratched.
I concur with the others saying safety specs.
I have these in smoke and clear.

LOL they look better than some of the cycling specific glass's Ive bought in the past and will no doubt offer better protection. For that money you could buy a few for when you break/loose a pair.I have these in smoke and clear.

Just my 2 cents, but I have purchased £6 bolle safety specs in the past, and i dont think theyre designed for cycling. I found them to warp my vision slightly which wasnt something i want while riding. I think this is because of the cheap lenses. However, I know people who use them without any trouble.
