Are they allowed to use the bus lane to jump in front of other vehicles? No siren, no blue lights, no hurry - yet seemingly free to use a bus/cycle lane as they fancy.

What made it worse was several times they failed to indicate both as they pulled into and out of the bus lane.

What gets my goat is that very same copper would pull a car for doing the same.

Should I report it?

Maybe they were trying to catch up with someone without drawing too much attention to themselves.

When necessary police can drive in manners not allowed by the public, whether they have blues and two's on or not is irrelevant.

Ahh I see. They can do what they like eh? That old excuse.

Well I was there ayou weren't. If they were trying to sneak up on someone why did they get to the front of traffic at a red light and not go through it? They would have lost whoever they were trying to stay with as the traffic ahead was long gone. And did you read my post - it was an big police van - hardly a good way of not drawing attention.

I cannot believe you can defend lawbreaking by those supposed to uphold it.

Were you just looking for anyone to have an argument with when you started this thread, or did you specifically have K87 in mind?

I see this a lot, one passed me close enough to make me automatically veer towards the pavement just yesterday and then carried on down the bus lane at about 8am.

Besides the fact he was too close and driving like a muppet I've just put it down as being oe of those things they can get away with, and tbh, I'd do the same if I couldn't get dabbed for it.

Actually I would have preferred to have debated it with the police driver in question only I couldn't catch up with him because he was using the bus lane frequently to speed up his journey.

As it happens I suspect I'd have probably got the same juvenlie response from him along the lines of "Under x conditions the police are allowed to do this" and us little minions should just be good citizens and be quiet.

Oh sorry I didn't realise you just wanted us to agree with the opinion you'd already made up your mind on.....

Yes all police are useless and just exploit thier powers for what ever advantages they can, and just to add insult to injury if they see you trying to do the same thing they'll punish you for it.

There you go is that a better response for you rolleyes

Police not allowed in bus lanes?.... don't make me laugh.

Any emergency vehicle can use bus lanes so get over it.

No laws being broken what so ever.

They can also run red lights and also go above the posted speed limit too!!
