I am an ex-cyclist and would very much like to get back on the saddle some day soon.

Anyway, I was in London today around Earls Court and saw a sight I really did not understand.

Guy riding along the road in a bit of a roadie get up. Lycra long leggings with shorts over the top and the same type of thing on his top half. Now I can accept all of those.

But WTF were the flipflops for????????

Think he may be a little bit mad.

In Barcelona I saw a man riding a bike naked through the middle of the city (mid afternoon).

I occasionally cycle in Berkenstocks on my road bike

But only when I have my carbon soled shoes in my jersey pocked for when I get to the open road

Have you tried walking in cleats recently?

I walked 2 miles in cleats the other day thanks to a puncture (well, two actually), its not the struggle everyone makes it out to be.

Its not fun, no.

I need some new ones now really.

As an aside, does anyone know the best method of geting out a bolt in the shoe that has no thread left? I can't see how I'm going to get them off otherwise...

Its got no thread left on the shaft, or on the top where it wears down? If its the 2nd, I had the same problem, I used a hacksaw blade, and made one in it to slide in a screwdriver.

Or try your LBS?
