Treated myself to some new eyewear as my current Bloc cheapies were being held in place with electrical tape smile

Was a hard decision between these racing jackets and radar locks. I've heard the perephiral vision on these can be compramised, but so far I've not noticed any issues. Really great fit too, and I don't look like too much of a bellend either (I hope) wink

I don't like cluttered handlebars but I also have a dislike of people in cycle lanes, paths etc so this is needed!

Wheelset for the Colnago Master build ordered at the LBS:

Pair of these:

Built up on a pair of these:

Which will be de-decalled and used with a nicer set of skewers and built up using Sapim CX spokes.

Should work really well with the chrome on the frame and polished / carbon Centaur groupset, the wider rim profile should give a nice ride too.

I've got Split Jackets,

Which are similar design. What I've found is that for me, on my face, the bottom part of the frame can nearly completely obscure a vehicle behind me. Not if it's close, but if it's 1-200metres behind me. Racing Jackets are bigger lens' so it may be less of an issue for yourself but I'm already planning to go back to top frame and lens type designs like Radarlocks.

Exactly why I ride in fast or half jackets. Although I appreciate different people have different face shapes so can be more or less affected.

I know it's a cliche, but it was pretty much only the dirt that was packed on top of the star nut that was holding it all together. The bikes only just two years old, so it's one of those things that, if a headset keeps coming lose, I will be on the lookout for in future!

The weather forecast for the Fred Whitton on Sunday looks grim so I've got a pair of these to keep my legs warm and dryish. Didn't want to wear my winter tights as they might be too toasty.

If the stem is correctly tightened then this component no longer even needs to be there, it is only to pretension the bearing nothing more.

I just won a rusty steel bike on ebay with no tyres, saddle or pedals, and "the rear free hub has gone and needs replacing". Oh and it might be too big and the seat post might be seized...

But it cost about as much as a tank of fuel, is Reynolds steel, is a Lemond and is local, so watch this space...
