After a lunchtime spent in Cyclesurgery, it appears that the only helmet that fits my head properly is... A Specialized Evade.

Anyone know how I can get one for less than £160?
Isn't that the height of what not to do? Try on/test in a shop, then buy cheapest elsewhere.
Yeah. Probably. I'm happy to pay a small premium for having a product in my hand, actually - but in this instance the only product that fits my needs is too expensive. Is it not logical to try to get the right product for an acceptable cost - online or offline?
Not if you're "using" your LBS. We all know you can find everything in the shop for cheaper online; but you pay for the ability to try on, talk to someone etc.

Perhaps I mis-understood. I read it that you'd chosen that helmet, now wanted to find where cheapest you could buy it.

SRAM Red, Black Edition Chainset. 46 / 36 CX Powerglide rings.

£75 quid. Brand new, unfitted, slightly tatty box smile

My inner Yorkshireman is very proud of himself this week!

These ... I felt I needed to add to my summer clothing seen as all I seemed to have bought in the past year is winter stuff.

How big is you're bonce? I have one in a M; I'm not overly keen on happy to let it go for a fair price. Worn a whole 2 times, still smells lovely.. PM me if interested... (its the grey one, not the CNVDSH version).

I REALLY wanted to get one of these. But the strap that goes around the back of your head (with the metal adjuster wheel on) just rubs on the back of my head far too much. (The bone that's kind of at the top of your spine where it joins the head around ears level) And that's just in the shop, let alone after 100km somewhere in hot and humid. Doesn't happen on my normal Giro helmet, and having tried on the normal Spesh helmet at the same time. Seems to be the design they are.

Really disappointed since it looks so much better than the Giro "skate" helmet frown

Moved from powertap to p2m so I can pick and choose wheels, anyway it was easy to fit and relatively cheap as I could use the existing crank arms.

I'm interested in the P2M. Where did you buy from? I'm slightly confused with the various options. What would I need to adapt my current Ultegra setup?

Just received my Cycleops Super Magneto Pro Trainer today from a retailer with a name that could be a Welshman.

All going well until I opened the box to find it floating around freely, wrapped in a little bit of bubble wrap and with no original packaging...

There's plenty of scratches, some broken plastic and even marks on the roller from a tyre. Out of interest does anyone else have one of these as the instruction manual looks like it's just photocopied and stapled together which could be original but seems unlikely.

On their website they do sell soiled units, but that's definitely not what I paid for.

Bought it direct (http://www.power2max.de/) I am not sure but I think you'll have to buy new crank arms as they don't seem to offer a spider only option with Shimano. Or you could buy Stages which would be the cheapest option although some flaws IMO.

No photos yet. Just got a Scott Aspect 60 2011 model. Added some odd grips and bar end locks. Old bmx style grips kept sliding.
Think I need to get a new bottom bracket after today. Saddle is bloody stiff but been used to my dad's hybrids comfort.

Then it's on to new forks and wheels. Only just got back into cycling. Best get prepared for nevis, Fort William, Glen coe and the surround highlands!

Clearly not a new unit. Definitely send that back or accept a hefty discount.

That sucks. Go for a discount, after a while a few knocks wont matter much.

I've just ordered a Sram Garmin mount for my mountain bike. I never had total confidence in the elastic band mount supplied so this should be just the job.

If that's the same plastic one that I have in not impressed. 6 months of use and it's pretty loose on the Garmin. Going to go for a metal one next time.

Is yours a genuine Sram as I know there are lots of copies around? If mine fails I'll return it and buy the K-Edge which is metal but a bit more expensive.
