I'd like to know how the sizing comes up on this, as I'm waiting for it to go on sale!
I'm 6'6 and about 95kg - I got XL and it fits great - its actually quite long which is unusual for Rapha stuff I find.

could you PM me the code?
The code doesn't work anymore - and has been deleted a few times off this thread as it wasn't meant to be for general use.

I have a pair of the Castelli overshoes. They look good on. IE, they are a snug fit, but they are pretty flimsy and got holes in very quickly.

I did ride mine through winter, but they were pretty useless by the end of the winter.

None of my smartphones have liked being jostled about in jersey pockets much, so time for something that is small enough to sling in the saddlebag too and only needs charging probably once a year or something

Bike phone. £9 delivered from Tesco.

I've been riding with smart phones since I got my first iPhone in 2008 and I've never had a problem. The only protection they have ever had is two small freezer bags!

I think that would be too big to fit easily on my bikes.

Should be an interesting read given what she sacrificed.

Was it a lamb? I bet it was a lamb.

Stage one of converting to clipless complete. Five Ten Maltese Falcon SPD shoes.

Just waiting on some Shimano M530 pedals to arrive on Monday then I can get cracking falling over a lot smile

In the effort of completeness, my SPD pedals arrived yesterday (Shimano M530 for £19.49 at ChainReaction) and I gave clipless a first shot. No real issues getting the hang of it, though I did have my first stack within the first 5mins of practising outside (after many clip-in and out attempts leant up against my living room wall). I'm amazed how much like second nature it's become already.

.....However, during that one stack I had, I appear to have bashed and bent the rear mech hanger, so the bike needs some attention to get the rear mech shifting sweetly once more, before I can start putting in the real practice miles on the SPD system.

And this is the real joy of the SPD system of course: fall off and breaking things means you can buy new shiny stuff!

Duly noted. I'll try to wreck my handlebar next time, I fancy a new one.

I wish my 530's looked as fresh as those. A week in Spain seemed to age them by years !! Great pedals though.

You know those cheap Chinese lights recently seen on this thread?

Mine just failed on only its second outing. First the light managed to loosen itself from the mounting (the solid plastic base, not the rubber loop) and it was bouncing around like Michael J Fox holding a torch. To stop me from getting epilepsy I had to hold it still with one hand.

Second it just conked out altogether as the connection must have vibrated loose. Just what you want on a pitch black cloudy night on country lanes and only a Knog Frog as a back up.

On a happier note the hi-vis on my new Brevet jersey/gilet combo seems to do the trick and nobody ran me over.

Me, pictured earlier, looking moody

Reynolds Assault carbon clinchers. Currently 16% off at Probikekit and 7% cashback through Quidco. Reviews are pretty good and I wanted the semi-deep look. Not going to fool myself that these will translate into any speed benefit.

Giving the 456 some TLC after a year or so of neglect, poor thing!

Got the last pair of X-Fusion Vengeance forks from Upgrade Bikes. Just need to find somewhere that'll paint them black for me, then get a 20mm front hub sorted.

Pics when they arrive.

Just about to press "Purchase" on a basket of 13 items on Evans' website for £1,300+, including a new bike, pedals, shoes, shorts, shirts, waterproof, computer, mitts, bottles and cages.... eek!
And my giant box arrived by DHL yesterday from Evans Cycles, so some tinkering to put the bits on the bike and I went out for a quick spin - as it was getting dark already. smile

I can well imagine. Some of the black pedal body coating has already come off from my practising, so I'd expect them to look well and truly battered in a few weeks' time.
