Good news about the bike build. Following a lot of thought, I decided to return the my N2A frame. I'm doing it with a heavy heart as its a great looking frame, but I didn't want a bike with crack in the head tube.

Hope you enjoy the new bike and post up some photos when it arrives smile

Another beautiful morning. Weather lovely, just on the crisp side of cool. Traffic horrific, nearly left-hooked by a Golf on the school run (put your phone down, Timmy and Emily don't want me coming through the window), and thoroughly dropped up the col de Clapton by a woman on a lovely old steel bike.

I've got a new plan: when people deliberately drive along in the gutter trying to stop cyclists passing (where there is a marked lane), I'm going to start opening their rear passenger door as I pass. Should be amusing.
All very interesting, but what bike bits have you just bought?
Ha. Wrong thread.

I bought a new twin-Cree front lamp the other day if it counts wink

Gone full road this weekend biggrin

Went for a shakedown ride last night and had my first clipped in fall!! Only real damage was pride and a scuffed pedal.
All very stealth but get some very powerful flashing lights so you will be seen out on the roads!

Be seen be safe as the advert says! wink

Got a few sets of lights but these are my latest set and have 3 levels of brightness, flash or strobe and are pretty awesome biggrin

Although the jacket does have 2 reflective strips on the back.

It changed again over the last week or so to be £13.50, still a good price.

Picked one up as I always need something to carry files and books.
Can anyone confirm, does this bag have some kind of chest strap to secure it? I've never been convinced by courier style bags for cycling, after years of doing a morning paper round as a kid, and the paper sack used to swing round annoyingly, always ending up around the front.

Think I've got that on my Allez Race.. Lovely to use.

Bought some Blue SPL-SL cleats today, from the ride round the block they feel better than yellow.

Also got a OPQS bottle from the team Soignor for answering a question right about Niki Terpstra.. Sure it's been used by the smell of the bottle, some orange type smell and has writing on top.

Stepped on the body geometry foot measurer, found I needed a different insole for my shoe, I had no idea I had a high arch thought that was for railway bridges. Anyway bought the advised insole to see what it would be like at first felt like a pebbles in my shoes, but on the ride home, the comfort levels were much improved, the more miles that went past the more the comfort seemed to improve.

just gone clipless!

opted for speedplay zero pedals/cleats [and cafe covers] and a pair of last year's diadora speed racer CR shoes. mainly price driven on the latter as i am buying blind so gambled on size. they seem a good spec for the price [heavily discounted from CRC] with excellent ventilation.

Good luck with it. I went first time last weekend was doing ok thought I'd got the knack of it and then changed down too many gears at once, pedals went loose I hit the deck lol hence the new bar tape a bit further up!

If you do manage to resist it, my boss at work keeps going on about buying one, so let me know and I'll pass it on to him?
