What makes them brilliant training wheels? Surely you want heavy wheels if you're "training".
I have no idea what they weigh but they'll almost certainly be heavier than a similarly price pair of machine builts. The big advantage in hand-builts is in the spoke count and therefore the tension required. They will generally have more spokes and lower tension which makes them much easier to keep in true. A set of wheels like that could easily last 20 years and will be easy to put another rim on when the original wears out. TKF said:

Without skewers they are circa 1530g so about the same as the mavic elites everyone seems to gravitate to. I've bought them for winter use as the rims on my Dura Ace C24 are quite thin and I don't want to subject them to the crud a typical british autumn/winter can throw up. These rims are 25mm wide which means I can run 23mm four seasons at lower pressures to get some more comfort whilst at the same time getting better rolling resistance and better grip.

How did you size it. I put my figures into Canyons website and it me to order a small. I cant believe I would want a small though. Im edging towards something I can ride first.Edited by eybic on Monday 29th September 15:25

Steve
I used Canyon's sizing wizard and it reckon I need a Large. I'm 6'4" and ride an upright 60 at the moment so I was a bit surprised too. I did read that they ride a size larger than they are, so it might be right. I've asked them to double check the measurements before they build it though. And the options I mentioned above was the saddle with extra setback range, just in case it's undersized.
