Looks like I'm in the market for some new jockey wheels, as one lunched itself this evening.

Are they all reasonably interchangeable? Or to put it another way, can I pinch one off the wife's bike to get me back on the road tomorrow?

Also, any recommendations? SRAM X5, commuter, durability over light weight, sensible price.

I have the shorts, the tights, Nanoflex arm warmers and knee warmers. Just counting the pennies until I can get the jersey. Love the stuff and because I ride hot anyway it's making clothing choices dead easy at the moment.

New chain arrived today, just as a matter of interest I laid the new and old chains next to each other, both cut to 114 links, both Shimano Ultegra. This is about normal when I change my chains!

Back on topic, taking advantage of the Tesco Club Card £2.50 for £5.00 of Evans vouchers I just received these (costing me the sum total of zero);

Plus one of these from Ribble to replace once with a giant slice down the side of it;

Saying goodbye to my squeaky cantis….

Well, more than a month gone and I still can't use my new brakes. Never again will I order anything from Planet X. Ordered end of Sept and a week later a shifter for an MTB arrives. Not even close. I send it back to them the next day and nearly three weeks later the TRPs turn up. I open the packet to find three left arms and one right. Phone them up and they tell me they'll send a new one out ASAP. That was a week ago and I'm still waiting. Useless tts. I would never in a million years order a bike from them.

I ordered a rear light from Planet X a few weeks ago. It arrived the day after the internet order was placed. Quite a difference in customer service there!

I used this for speed, cadence as well as a HR strap. Good quality and was only removed when it was replaced by a Garmin 1000.

Beware though that they do run the iPhone battery down, I never got more than 3.5hrs out of a 4S with 3G turned off.

I was thinking turbo trainer, I have a 6 and battery is quite good on that but this is bluetooth so guess it zap it.

Dull mechanical purchases in the form of a deore cassette and new chain. Unfortunately adding these revealed the front crank to be toast, so a matching Deore crank is being fitted tomorrow.

And a new top:

All from StartCycles as the pads were half price in the sale - looks like there's a few other bargains on there too wink

I have gone and got myself a cheap (knock-off) GoPro. It came yesterday and it seems excellent!

I might have accidentally ordered one of these last night (same finish but not the same spec as the photo)... 2015 Rose Uncle Jimbo.

Looks to be a better designed frame than previous versions, seems to be getting good comments already, and is certainly great value.. so hope it's good smile

How much was it? Any idea how it compares to the £99 GoPro?

They seem rather good value against the £99 GoPro but I worry about the supportability of them vs a GoPro... although for that price I probably shouldn't.

Video seems slightly different to a GoPro looking at the videos posted (colours), but I'm no expert and couldn't say one was better than the other.
