Those bds know their market - extra 25 quid for the one in the colour you want tongue out
If it makes you feel any better, my boss just picked up an 800 in a damaged box from with the OS maps for $150. It's blue though, which looks a bit gay on his black bike. Still, he likes a bargain. smile

Tell him to get the silicon cover, hides the blue and protects it.

Am I right in thinking only the 800 does directions, not the 500? Looks lovely either way smile
This thread explained those differences, it's not quite as simple as that, but you're not far off (not a long thread):

I've a nasty (to me) hill (Wooburn Green to Holtspur) on my way home from work, and to my shame I've always had to get off and push the last halffrown
So last week I ordered a 28-11 cassette to replace the 25-11 currently on my bike in the hope that the climb might get a bit easier.
However, this morning, I descended the barstaXd hill, turned round at the bottom, and slooowly ground my way back up it. All the way, without getting off!!
I was completely knackered at the top and gasping like I smoke 60 a day, but I've broken a mental barrier and hopefully should be able to manage it again tomorrow after a day at work.
However, the new cassette is waiting for me at my local LBS, do I fit it to my bike, or go with Rule #5?

Go for it but find a worse hill, it doesn't get easier just faster... Says the man who walked kitbag hill on the Chase today, I blame the 60 a day style cough half way up.

That.

Use the 28, but ramp up the cadence. Then find a harder hill. smile

That looks like a similar construction to home pole dancing kits... It's not bolted to the ceiling, is it?

I really need a bigger house. I'd love one of those but there's literally nowhere to put it.

Some cone spanners, some child's armoured BMX gloves for my 3 year old as his ambition outweighs his skill a little, and for the first time ever I've worn through a set of rims, so bought some new budget MTB wheels for my winter bike.

MAVIC Crossrides for a bargain £150 quid. They replace a set of old crossrides which just weren't worth doing a rim swap on given the price of a new set.

It was quite funny, people were going in and buying bargain bucket £100 bikes for £30!!

Those that were looking at getting a bike could get a slightly better one or £70 off.

Myself and my housemate effectively bought £200 worth of stuff for £60 as we both got vouchers.

There was a proviso that you had to be wearing sports gear or you didn't get a voucher! Really chuft with all my purchases as i was looking at getting all of the above anyway smile

I've been commuting on my mountain bike the last couple of days, and thinking a more powerful front would mean I could take a scenic route home round the outer edge of Richmond Park. I'd be interested to know your experience of run time at full beam, and charging time. thumbup

Give me a week or so with it and I'll try and do a report. Will only really be using it on my commute which is the CS7 but I might go for a few laps of Richmond Park just for fun since it's so bright hehe
