White would look good - I've got a grey frame with white decals.
Assuming they'd fit the frame (no idea - need to look into that) I think 100mm may be a bit short for what I want. Preferably at least 120mm or 140mm I think.
I've been looking in CRC and wiggle, and there is very little made for 9mm!
Perfect for an XC hardtail, if you're full sus though you don't want less travel on the front, that would just be odd.Assuming they'd fit the frame (no idea - need to look into that) I think 100mm may be a bit short for what I want. Preferably at least 120mm or 140mm I think.

You've got more options if you look at other manufacturers, I think Fox were early adopters of the 15mm axle. Rockshox still have plenty of 9mm forks, but you might be averse to them.
I've got the 15mm version of this fork: http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/rockshox-reba-r...
as it came with my bike last year. I think it's great but then I haven't tried out a lot of others. It's still 100mm though.
For more travel with a 9mm skewer, it looks like there's only this one on CRC:
http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/manitou-minute-...
And some DT Swiss ones.

It's a hardtail but it's not XC that I ride really... trail riding, bit of DH, bit of dirt jumping and messing about etc - I guess you'd call it all mountain, maybe. I tend to push up big hills, and ride down the otherside as fast as I can You've got more options if you look at other manufacturers, I think Fox were early adopters of the 15mm axle. Reba again are bit XC focused, I'd want Revelations (or Pikes) if I went Rockshox - which I am happy to do - if I can find some 9mm QR forks!
Those manitou forks don't get great write ups - I reckon I'll stick with either Fox or Rockshox. Back when I used to ride as a teenager, marzocchi were all the rage, seems not to be the case now!

....9mm.......not 15mm.....stuff......etc.....
Can't believe no one has suggested yet (this is PH after all!) but surely it's a good excuse for a new fork AND a new wheel/wheelset! 15mm bolt through, obviously!okgo said:

Nice, seems to be the choice a lot of guys I know are making!
Doubt it will be other world like the marketing says but I fancy a change and I too have heard good reports. I fancy a change but can't make my mind up.

Would you mind sharing. Either by PM or on the board as I am about to pull the trigger on one of these. Currently got a Tarmac Comp on demo and love it compared to my CAAD 10.
Cheers

Was through ebay actually. £1400 brand new warranty replacement. Though 2014 rather than '15. Best i could find new was Sigma at 2 grand. Cheers

Yep. Similar prices for me as well. I've been tempted by a few on e-bay but the lack of warranty on the frame puts me off. Also seen a new 2014 non s-works bike with Duraace currently at 20% off. I'm contemplating making a cheeky bid on that if I cant get an S-Works at the right price.ALawson said:
Trade is I believe £1300/1350 for those SL4 S-Works frames.
Pedal Heaven in Fleet have a 56 and 58 S-Works Tarmac for sale, used at the same price.
I know a lot of the pedal heaven race team, those bikes have had some stick, I'm sure they're good bikes, but I'll stick to this one which has not been used Pedal Heaven in Fleet have a 56 and 58 S-Works Tarmac for sale, used at the same price.

Cracking deal also prefer the traditional seat clamp on the 2014 bikes as seen seat slippage on the other type on Foils. Would have a Tarmac if I didn't want to bikes with exactly the same geometry etcokgo said:
Managed to find a good deal on a new SL4 S Works Tarmac frame - collect at the weekend
Will be good to see this built up. Building up the S3 as a second/winter/commute bike or getting rid? Think I've seen you a few times on my commute riding the S3 - have you only got the one bike that you use for everything?ukbabz said:
Finally made the move to clipless pedals..
Me too. Bought some of these for my MTB so I can go clipless if I need to:http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/shimano-m324-cl...
And some stupidly cheap MuddyFox MTB shoes with cleats from Sports Direct
