...because, at the same time I bought a pair of Northwave Celsius GTX boots for the princely sum of £75.
All from Wellington Trek in Sunningdale, who have a 50% shoe sale and 20 to 25% off lots of other accessories, if you're close enough to pop in
That's a great price for the Northwave boots. I've had mine for a couple of years and they've been fantastic. All from Wellington Trek in Sunningdale, who have a 50% shoe sale and 20 to 25% off lots of other accessories, if you're close enough to pop in
I might have to head out to Sunningdale to see if they have the road version of them in the sale.
Picked up one of these tonight http://www.edinburghbicycle.com/products/ice-toolz...
Not bad at all for £3.39, the chain is a hell of a lot cleaner now, but the whole house smells a bit of gunk. Perhaps I should have worked outside instead of the utility room.

The different colours designate how much float the cleats have and are nothing to do with them matching your shoes.
FFS!
Sorry, forgot the winking smiley! I am aware of the reason for the different colours, I was only half joking about the colour coordinating! FFS!

I use blue shimano cleats, if you've got a straight clean pedalling action then they might suit.
Thanks. I don't think I rotate my feet much at all, so think I could get away with the blue cleats. I need new ones soon, so might give them a try instead of my current yellow ones. I've just bought a surly Tuggnut, new chain ring bolts and chain ring spanner. Need to replace the bolt that fell out, and hoping the tuggnut stops the rear wheel from pulling itself out of alignment up hills.

Will fit tonight and hopefully post some pictures afterwards.

The same thing happens to me. I can get away with just a mesh base layer and a jersey in the depths of winter but anything below 10°C and my feet turn to blocks of ice. The new strategy is merino socks, Castelli neoprene overshoes and then Rapha oversocks on top of those. This seems to cope with all but the very coldest conditions.
I suffer with cold feet too. I've found the wooly booly socks make a huge difference, and teamed with some Endura neoprene overshoes I can just about cope. Don't feel the cold anywhere else I.e base layer, jersey and arm warmers are enough down to about 5 degrees, but feet just retain no heat

At their prices (especially given the Euro's slide, if EU delivery is an option for you) would it not still be 'cheap' to buy and swap the groupset, flinging the outgoing one on eBay or on the bike this would replace?
Please don't tempt me.... would end up costing a couple of hundred quid all in I guess to flog ultegra and buy and fit force 22.Gassing Station | Pedal Powered | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
