A pair of these after Yellowjack mentioned that a local shop was doing them at 50% off.
I've been using the MTB version for ages and they've been great so hopefully the road shoes are as good.
Used mine today for the first time on a 3hr ride at about 4*C and got home for the first time this winter with warm toes!I've been using the MTB version for ages and they've been great so hopefully the road shoes are as good.
Money well spent.

This is PH's - you should have an RS6 or some AMG merc estate
On the subject of bike transportation, I have to disassemble half the damn bike to get it in the boot of my car. I'm thinking of getting shot of the M5 though and getting a camper van of sorts. I can take the family and bike with ease = win.
Try getting one in a Lotus (passenger seat) with the roof on Do quite fancy the idea of a converted VW transporter...On the subject of bike transportation, I have to disassemble half the damn bike to get it in the boot of my car. Got a pair of these after discovering nothing I have grips properly on flat pedals on my new mountain bike. Knew the sole would be pretty soft, but they feel like you could walk up the nearest wall. Looking forwarded to trying them out
And one of these too, as none of my hiking bags really suit using on a bike, seems good!

After 18 months of whining like a little bh because my weedy legs were struggling with my standard 53/39 Ultegra crank, ive given up and just bought a compact 50/34 version, and a new KMC 11spd chain.
Just fitted them now, and been taking a link out at a time until the chain looks/feels about right. The revised chain angles have thrown all the indexing out so i'll have that to look forward to adjusting. Hopefully a test ride at the weekend, and then next time im up in Yorkshire I will beat Buttertubs.

Big ring 3 less teeth, 3 links shirley?
Dunno - ive never done this before, but a bit of googling showed everyone had a different way of calculating chain length. Figured its easier to take links out then put them back in, and as I have a KMC quick-release link it didn't take long. You're probably right though.Big, big, miss the derailler and add two links is the shimano/Park tool way.
The chainrings on the 6800 crankset annoy the hell out of me. Buy these new cranks shimano say, one bcd for all chainrings they say. Except the chainrings cost nearly as much as a brand new crankset. I've been spying on eBay for a set of 52/36 rings for ages. Great cranks though I must say.

After the 5 bikes, got a huge tent, all the gear for a week and still 6 seats left. Plus the bikes stay in the van the whole time they aren't being used so cant get knicked. Best thing I ever did.
Got 8 full sussers in it the other day for a Swinley get together (obviously not using the racking) and still room for 6 adults in the van. I reckon take the back seat out and could get 10 in easy - so 3 guys in the van, the others in my mates touran and Wales here we come!
