Now I've just fitted new wheels so they could be the culprits!

Just bought this for £35, which is a bargain. Used the Evans 10% off code. Not a desirable colour, but I wanted a jersey that had a front pocket, as its really useful for commuting. I need somewhere convenient to store my building pass and season ticket and front pockets are excellent for that smile

I really like that.
Just bought one - I have no need for it really but it fits well and feels nice. Also got a Fox Livewire LS top which was less than half price and some Weldtite tubeless repair patches. Not confident they'll work but were only £1.90.

Indeed it is. Lovely material and by far the comfiest long sleeve jersey I have and I have quite a few einter jerseys. The hazards of doing a lot of commuting. I think I actually have more winter riding gear than summer riding gear frown N

Next on the list is MTB shorts. Faster to put on than bib tights and some pockets too smile

Nothing too exciting, just some organic brake pads from Superstar for the Boardman - getting ready for Gisburn next week. Can't wait.

Should have ordered 2 x sets - mine lasted a couple of laps of Swinley before they were through to the metal (and I don't grab the brakes too often!!).....

I got one of these because I was told it was what I needed to fit a rear cantilever brake to the OH's bike I'm building as it doesn't have a bridge on the rear for the cable.

This one said that it would fit on a quick release seat post clamp but I have given that a go and due to the shape of the QR there is no chance it will work.

Any ideas??

Oh and I got a lovely comfy pair of Endura Pro bibshorts, off to cycle Sa Calobra next week so I thought I'd treat my bum to something slightly more upmarket than my old Planet X Clubmans.

Bought a pair very cheap due to a pricing error on their website, sold them on as I don't need n+1 wheels as I already have n+1 bikes.

Excuse my ignorance, but they seem like fairly heavy wheels for £500 a pair. Are they that much more aerodynamic that they justify the weight increase over similarly priced wheels which would be up to 500g lighter?

Yeah they are, not bad looking things I guess, but I had a pair, and actually found 30mm semi aero alloy clinchers to be faster.

I run 35mm carbon clinchers on a disc braked road bike, and they are lighter than these, in spite of the extra spokes and much more substantial hubs (and they were cheaper too, bought from a Chinese seller).

Some Kinesis Crosslight wheels.

In just over 2,000 miles the Whyte branded Alexrims Black Dragons that came fitted have snapped 5 spokes and cost me over £100 and a couple of sunny days out on the bike.

If you’re reading this Kermit, how are you getting along with yours?

I’m hoping they’ll cope with a large rider on some really cr4ppy central London roads.

I’m also going to get a stand, some spokes and associated sundries and use old rear to learn to build, true and repair my own wheels.
