Bought a GT Grade Carbon gravel racer/adventure bike after reading/watching good reviews https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5GnASmbG64U

Hoping the weekend will be decent weather wise so can take it for a ride.

Looks like I'm going to have to bleed the brakes straight away though as they go nearly to the bars before contacting the disc.

Good car geekery from that angle smile
Excellent cars. I bought mine in March and for the money its an absolute bargain smile Probably the most comfortable vehicle I have ever owned smile

I think its also a bit of a PH favorite.

Might just be pad adjustment. It was the same on my XT brakes when I first got them. Take wheel out, squeeze brakes gently, put wheel back in. Repeat until the lever is where you want it. Don't repeat too many times or you'll have to take the reservoir cover off and push the pads back in and start again!

If they needed bleeding they'd be spongey. Don't forget they'll take a few rides to bed in, too.

Lucky you!

I couldn't find a single one of those locally, not even to look at, leave alone test ride, when I was looking for my new bike. From the description and reviews I think it would suit me well, and be a great addition to my small fleet. I bought a Trek Emonda in the end, but if I'd had the luxury of waiting, I think I'd have held out for the GT, simply for it's ability to go 'off piste' at the drop of a hat. Enjoy!

Been around for car Tyres and motorbikes for ages. Many different solutions about, but this wins for being so easy to store as bar end plugs. Had 2 incidents when this would have saved bothering with fitting a tube in the trail and will probably stop me carrying an emergency tube for anything less than 3 hour rides.

Snap. One of the t-track bolts on mine pulled through the rack on the m5 though so I may have to bend over and pay the rip off prices for genuine thule t-track bolts by the looks of it or make some :-(
Do you mean these bolts?

I have square bars which don't need them, so the ones that came with my carriers are spare if you need.

Hill rep's have been taking their toll on my pads so ordered 2 x pairs of these from Merlin at £19.99 - bargain given they are normally circa £25 per pair!

Can't find anything and have checked junk filter, try an email response if you would't mind.

Out of interest, why are you sticking with cork rather than using Tangentes or Swiss Stop Black Prince?

Being honest, cost! I was surfing Merlin, CRC, Wiggle etc to find the best priced Black Prince pads and came across the discounted cork pads. I did a quick google for reviews and the majority score them very highly so I thought that I would give them a go!

The blue lifeline ones from wiggle are meant to be very very good. And they cost peanuts.

I got some kool stop salmons - amazing stopping power but worn down massively in less than 10 rides. Starting to get noisy now too - I think they are nearly spent!
