For the Canyon, couldnt resist the bars, and converting all my bikes to shorter cramps in an effort to help the knees!

Easton Haven Carbon Riser Bar
Black, 711mm, 31.8mm,

Shimano XT M785 10 Speed Double Chainset
Black, 104mm, 40.28t, 165mm, With Bottom Bracket

And a DHB switch jacket.
Blimey those cranks are short, surely shorter is more detrimental to your knees, less lever=more effort?

I'm 5'8" just. Suggested by my bike fitter... seems to be working so far, and I'm a fast cadence twiddler anyway.

Ditto, pick the bike up tomorrow or Monday!

I wish someone hadn't posted that link to Noble Wheels, could be expensive!

Just got my bike back from the shop today, in time for the Wooler Wheel tomorrow.

New compact chainset, GP4000s (25c) and a pair of Fulcrum Racing 3 rims. Took it up the road and it feels superb.
Been out tonight for a huge carb intake meal. Car loaded, breakfast out ready to make in morning. Shower now then bed.

Roll on tomorrow. smile

PS. It was take a chance on some Chinese carbon wheels or buy a well rated alloy wheel. I went with the latter as the carbon wheels have unknown hubs etc whereas I know the fulcrums are good rollers. I love the look of deep dish carbon but I wouldn't like the side winds blasting them up here on the hills of Northumberland.

PPS. I've moved the quick release levers round since the pic. I like them in line with frame/forks. wink

Time for a new chain by Lewis Craik, on Flickr
I bought a chain checker. It looks like my next purchase will be a new chain.

Ordered at 2:15 yesterday afternoon, arrived this morning, great job Merlin.

The compact on my Holdsworth was 172.5, gone 52/36 175.
Is there any reason why I can't use the compact as an upgrade for my son's tiagra 10 speed?

Only that 172.5 is too big for a lad imo.

1 of these for the blood test kit and a couple of gels for the Tour of Cambridgeshire next month, as I'd have too much to comfortably carry in jersey pockets.

I went into Lbs on Sat with the premise of discussing a bike fit for my existing bike.

In the back of my mind, I knew I was kidding myself and I came out after buying some Keo Classic 2 pedals, with new Scott shoes to match, and this to put them on:

Scott CR1 - Got a cracking deal on it!

Pick it up on 30th.

Received my lovely Commencal Meta AM, but one ride up the road confirmed no way will I ever get on with SRAM shifters, they simply don't understand ergonomics.

So had to alter to shimano, as the SRAM stuff uses matchmaker and I love my shimano brakes as well bought a full Shimano conversion package :-

Front & Rear Zee brake setup with XT rotors 203mm /180mm, Zee shifter, XT medium mech & OneUp RAD cage.

Results is if any one wants to make a deal for brand new SRAM Guide R brakes with 200mm and 180mm rotors & X9 shifter and rear mech drop me an offer, will go on eBay this week if not.

Just bought one of these. http://www.racewaredirect.co/shop/garmin-1000-inte...

Two of each of these.

Annoyingly also needed to get a 11sp freewheel to replace the 10sp on the Racing 3's.

The wife asked me what I wanted to do for my impending birthday. She was puzzled by me saying I wanted a trip to Shepton Mallet. smile
