I can't wait to finish my build, I'm busy collecting parts. 11 speed XT isn't coming out fast enough so I'll have to make some sort of mish mash, which is annoying but never mind. This is my first full susser since my whyte 46, which I never got on with so I'm hoping I love this one more.Certainly looks pretty enough though.

They have and they're a newer version to my old ones. Material seems a bit flimsier tbh. Not a big fan of the thigh logos either, my old ones were plain black. Chamois seems the same though which is the most important bit.
Once on they seem comfortable (not ridden yet) but they're certainly a tight squeeze getting them on/off! But as said, once on they seem really comfortable. Will be riding tomorrow, I'm sure, so will see how they go. If they're good.... It's not a bad buy for £55 Inc postage.
Cheers
TKF - just christened the Sugoi shorts with a 50 mile ride.
Overall noticeably more comfortable than my very worn dhb shorts. Worth the rrp of £130? Probably not for me. Worth the £55 Inc postage.... Definitely. Really comfortable pair of shorts. Thanks for the spot and recommendation.

Another broken spoke , so i got talked into buying these cheap n cheerful wheels for my summer commute bike
Oh & my bar tape was looking meh..
£150.00 all in fitted as well & spoke replaced for free, Could have been worse i suppose.
Although these wheels are pretty basic they do seem to run much nicer than my the ones they have replaced.

Decided to swop out my SRAM elixir brakes, shifters and mechs on my Cannondale F29 , so ordered XT disc brakes from Merlins at a crazy £99, plus a XT rear mech, also had a £10 voucher, so was £126 is for the lot !! I spec XT shifters from Chain Reaction for a silly £44 too. Found a new front XT mech in the bike bits cupboard. Ordered Monday and all appeared yesterday morning. Fitted last night, test ride to work this morning and a damn good hammer this evening. Very happy with the changes. Now need to sell the SRAM bits to recoup my spending !!

I did almost exactly the same thing, except replacing an old Shimano LX/XT 3x9 drive train... Started with the brakes at Merlin same as you, then thought "hmm... It would be silly not to make use of the I-spec-B feature". This meant getting new shifters, again, CRC same as you.
The problem then was that I could't use my existing mechs with the shifters, so that provided the need for a rear Shadow+ mech from Leisure Lakes, iirc, and a front mech from CRC. Chain Reaction were stupidly cheap for 2x10 XT cranks (around £93 iirc), whilst someone else (Merlin again, iirc) came through with SRAM 5010 (?) chains for under £13.
At this point, in theory all I needed was a new cassette (Evans cheapest there for an 11-36 XT), so I trundled over to the Evans warehouse in Gatwick, spent 45 minutes pricematching everything else with them, added a few more bits for my son's new bike, and set about the refresh build!
Part way through, looking at it, I decided I really couldn't put my scuffed up old DMR V12s back on it - especially as it also now has nice new Ritchey WCS Carbon bars - so I got some rather lovely Fire-eye Broils from CRC to round it off, and below is the result
Just as a bit of background on this bike... I bought a new full susser before Christmas, and decided that I wouldn't get enough back from some of the parts on the old one if I sold it, so I bought this frame on eBay instead and transferred the parts over. Of the bits I moved over, only the fork, wheels, skewers, seatpost, saddle and stem now remain, and I've got a shorter stem I'm probably going to fit onto it too!
The fork and wheels definitely aren't going anywhere though!

First ride in them last night. Sadly Sugoi have "improved" them vs my old pair of RSE and tbh they're a bit of a let down. Like you say they're fine for £55 but nothing like the original design which was definitely worthy of a £100+ price tag.Overall noticeably more comfortable than my very worn dhb shorts. My Schwalbe Ultremo ZX tyres finally gave up the ghost after 2000 miles and no punctures, a tear in the tyre finished them off.
so I have gone with Michelin Pro4 Endurance for a change.
Had a set of the the Ultremos zxs that came with a bike I really liked them, but could see there was no sidewall protection. The rear got quite deformedin places quickly so had to swap them off as it was like a clowns bike on smooth tarmac . Shame they didn't last at all as would love them on smooth roads, but not on the roads near meso I have gone with Michelin Pro4 Endurance for a change.

Just bought a Specilasied Evade helmet, I look totally ridiculous in it but the helemt itself looks awesome and thats what matters. Not too bad as far as ventilation goes either but if you tuck your head down the wind finds the vents, doesnt seem to work in "sit up and beg" positions, funny that!!

Seems almost like triggers broom, that bike !!
That's a very valid point! I'm now wondering whether I can actually change the stem, as I've worked out that it's the only part of my original full susser left on the bike! The wheels, fork, seatpost and saddle all moved from the old frame to this one, but none of them were actually original spec on that bike!
I'm really looking forward to giving this one its first outing, even if it will just be a slow run round Haldon Woods in Exeter with my 9yr old on Saturday. He'll be on his "new" bike too.
