Nice choice BCM picked up a pair of these for the new bike, a steal at £90 including spare cleats!

Don't be, saving £23 when you have spent £2.3k on a new bike isn't going to break the bank! Will check them out for new wheels!

Dedacciai was at my LBS having the BB shell faced and the steerer tube trimmed so I collected it an hour ago and started building it up.

Plenty still to do before it's finished but lunch time now...

Almost finished, gears indexed brakes set up, bar tape to go on but not before I take it for a test ride first to make sure the shifters are well positioned. Cables to be cut and end ferrules to be crimped on

Weight as is before the bar tape before the cables are trimmed and without pedals, not too bad really I guess with some better wheels and a top of the range groupset it would easily be sub 7 kilos

That looks really nice for something made out of a frame + spare bits. I know it's all a matter of preference, but for me, it looks like your levers are positioned a bit too far forward and down on the bars. I've really grown to like a flat transition from the top of the bars to the lever body (or even with the lever angled marginally upwards).

New bike time... Got the 2am Dovert to Dunkirk ferry, got to Koblenz at 11am after getting stuck in two traffic jams. Managed to get back for the 6pm ferry back to the uk and my final drive back to Norwich. I rolled in the front door at 10.45 having driven 950 miles in just under 24 hours on my own after my co-driver decided he couldn't make it!! I was in the bike shop yesterday morning having a bike fit, so I'm just getting changed to go out for my first ride on it. bounce

That is very nice, and really amazing value. I've just recently broken my Colnago C50 crycry, and am replacing it with a Canyon SLX that I've just received this week. It's going to have most of the old bits from the C50 for now, apart from a new 4 arm Chorus chainset.

Fed up with repeatedly getting saddle sore and, erm, numbness over the years. Assos Chamois Creme goes a long way with saddle soreness but I've just ordered one of these

I wanted to experiment with the shifter position before I wrapped the bars and I was trying different positions to try and encourage me to use the drops again due to recovering from a fractured vertebrae.

All sorted out now, i think, I hope banghead also saddle dropped 10mm

Just waiting on a Deda bottle cage arriving and the job will be complete

Just got my new selle smp stratos saddle fitted by my LBS (wanted it set correctly as they also did my bike fit service)

The ride back was not long at all but immediately felt more comfortable. Plan on 35-40 miles tomorrow so will see what it's like then!
