The cost ratio of bike bits to handbags is all wrong there....
Knowing the handbag costs more will cost you 10 man points too, chap.ALawson said:

Got a set of 2012/13 era racing's 3's may well get another as you can get them at wiggle for a good price. Also looking at Cero A30 or whatever there £329 wheels are. Edit: I just checked and at the current exchange rate, Racing 3s are £93 cheaper than wiggle on bike 24:

Wheels seem to get a good write up. Although in Oz there seemed to be a few bad reviews about spoke breaking on the drive side rear wheel.
My chinese 50mm clinchers turned up last night! Only had a quick ride up and down the road, but seem to roll really well and they sound great. Slightly out of balance (mm's) on the front, so going to give them a ride at the weekend and get them all tensioned up by the local shop next week!

Just collected my bike from its gold service from velocity bikes in Cosham.
Had it done before 2 years ago but I'm still amazed at how it's come back. Looks incredible. New parts include new brake pads, cassette, chains (I'm going to alternate the chains every week or so... To get more life out of cassette), new ultegra rear derailleur, new wheel bearings and a few other bits and bobs.
They remembered doing the bike 2 years ago and said it was in far better condition this time around than last time. Last time cost me around £320 IIRC but this time it was around half that, but I did supply a few bits.
Where they strip the frame of everything and put all serviceable parts into a parts washer all the components (such as chain rings, brake calipers etc) look brand new again.
Can't wait to ride it home tonight now

This is not an approach I've ever heard of before. Care to discuss the thinking? Are they SRAM chains with Quick Links? Are Quick Links re-usable?I think powerlinks that come with a chain are supposed to be single use, but they can be used more than once (just carry a spare).
